Great add-on, great to know that TiddlyWiki continues to evolve, some subtlety Rated 5 out of 5 stars
To me, TiddlyWiki is like vim: I have used both for many years, and would be extremely unhappy if they disappeared. Jeremy Ruston's new version of the TiddlyFox is useful, as it now warns the user of simultaneously opened versions of the same html file. This now makes the extremely cautious backup strategy of the old tiddlywiki (backup in a new file after each save) unneccessary. In short, it's great to see that this fantastic tool continues to evolve.
On a first trial, I did not catch the subtlety of the TiddlyFox icon in the Firefox bar, and was utterly confused. I would suggest that the authors add a note in the TiddlyWiki website to help orient naive users like me... SO relieved to see it continues to work, and to evolve. All thumbs up for TiddlyWiki and Jeremy Ruston! TiddlyWiki remains a unique tool.
Problem with French accents - solved Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Thanks so much to Jeremy Ruston. The new api file is awsome. I just spent 30 minutes testing, and the problem with encoding is definitely solved. So I'll go for another five years without losing a single tiddler, I hope. Thanks again. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0alpha3.1-signed.1-signed). Problem with French accents Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Tiddlywiki has always been great, and I was relieved to see Jeremy Ruston's add-on to help it make it work with FF18.0.2 on ubuntu. One of its greatest strength is the absolute reliability via the save mechanism - in five years, never lost a tiddler. The problem now is that TiddlyFox garbles up accents: all the è é, etc become ý. As far as I can tell, this happens with the newest ff, using the latest TiddlyFox. Please help us users relying on non-English encodings. Thanks a lot. I put in five stars, as I have no doubt that this issue will be sorted out soon. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0alpha3.1-signed.1-signed).
