I have been using this add-on for many years now and it's extremely powerful. I have yet to encounter a text box or a form that the add-on fails to auto fill (no pun intended).
With that said, it's menus can be quite cumbersome and non-intuitive. A portion of the the dialog boxes (such as the top bar) can some times appear off screen when called... Just move the dialog box down and resize if needed (double clicking on the top bar also maximizes the window). As an aside, if you are OCD about your windows' locations and sizes (like me), then check out a program called Actual Windows Manager (it costs about $30 and is worth every penny). Creating different profiles is a bit of a challenge at first as well.
Even so, Autofill accepts regex rules/filters for website domains and identifying specific text boxes on a site. Autofill also allows one to rebind its most useful shortcut keys.
I would normally give this add-on a four star rating due to its steep learning curve. However, there are so many 1 star reviews that I giving it 5 just to offset them, because in the end, what really matters is if the add-on can get the job done, and it will if you take the time to learn.
I hate to double post, but I wish that the author would consider this second suggestion as well on how to improve upon the add on.
Earlier, I wrote: "My biggest criticism is when organizing the bookmarks, in the thumbnails view, I will delete an image, and then the screen refreshes and then I am back at the beginning of the lot...I hate that. The problem is when I will be deleting a specific few BM's out a few hundred. After each deletion the screen refreshes and I am back at the beginning to scroll down again, each time..."
I have an alternative solution, just allow the user to select multiple thumbnails by holding down shift or ctrl, to delete multiple bookmarks at once.
I have upgraded the rating so that it now averages out to 90%...
@Some Random Dude
You can "restart" the process. Go to:
Bookmarks (pull down menu) > organize... > organize (pull down menu) > create previews.
You can also change the settings to make a preview whenever you visit a page, so you could just open all bookmarks at once and previews will automatically be made for you...Also, in the profile folder there is a bookmark preview folder that contains the images, just delete all and begin the process again if you want.

My biggest criticism is when organizing the bookmarks, in the thumbnails view, I will delete an image, and then the screen refreshes and then I am back at the beginning of the lot...I hate that. The problem is when I will be deleting a specific few BM's out a few hundred. After each deletion the screen refreshes and I am back at the beginning to scroll down again, each time...Please look into just removing the image, and not refreshing the screen upon deletion.
Other than that it is an excellent add-on.
This is really a killer app that is incredibly accurate and reliable for the task that it is asked to do (have you ever seen website code? it's not screen friendly if you know what I mean).
Anyway, I am not sure why it is still "experimental" because it seems to play nicely with my other add ons very well (I have 108 popular extensions installed and no problems here).
I have been looking for something exactly like this for a very long time. Nice Job!
What good is feedback without any criticisms? I only have one minor request. When I drag the box down to the bottom of the screen, please allow the screen to slowly follow along. I understand if it goes too fast it will disorientate the user and muck everything up (therefore maybe make it optional with different speeds? that would really be great).
Seriously though, killer app.
Folder icon support coming next release, so stop complaining about it now.
Please update this to FF3.5!
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD create a FOLDER icon modifier, I would do it myself but I DONT SPEAK GEEK.
I second that.
Seriously, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.
I really really enjoy your extension that you have created. I have a moderate* computer so looking through the previews is seamless. Great idea! Here are my two suggestions:
1) I think adding a button or command of some sort that says, "preview all bookmorks in this folder now" would be beneficial. I downloaded this extension with many existing bookmarks and needed to create previews. I remedied by selecting the option, auto preview open bookmarks, and then opened all of the desired bookmarks in new tabs to create the previews...
2) I have a 22 inch screen and would like to be able to make the album previews larger...
Thanks again for all of your hard work!
*Moderate computer => purchased about 2 years ago.
I think this add on is great.
I just have one feature request...
The copy all option is great - all URLs to be pasted into notepad, etc.
However, I would really appreciate the ability to copy all of the physical files and paste them into a folder, kind of like spider-zilla but on a per page basis.
Anyways, this is an excellent add on and I will be keeping it for a long long time.
I know you know this stuff inside and out. You know so much that I think you forgot a minor detail.\r\n\r\nI think the *.ini file format should be included in your ASCII list so that automatic downloads don\'t download it incorrectly. An example might be: \" config.ini \"\r\n\r\nJust a thought - great job on the extensionThis review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.97.1).
