I forgot that I put this on my laptop firefox browser. It helped me save money!
I had logged into my Amazon account and saw books I had left in my Amazon shopping cart. When I looked at the detail page for a book, up popped all the information about the book being available at the DC Library and how they had 10 copies! My local library had a copy. Ka Ching!
Downloading the BooksforDC add-on saved me money.

Great Add-on! Easy to use and it does it's task well. At the right end of the URL bar the disconnect icon shows a line through a G if a google script has been blocked and you can select the icon to allow google to see you on that page. You can add particular sites to a white list feature if you always want google to see you on that page.
This is the first time I have bothered to rate an add-on, so I think that says a lot. I gave a 4 out of 5 because I would prefer to see an image from Disconnect where a blocked YouTube video now leaves a blank space. Instead of utilizing the icon in the URL box ideally I would like to see a Disconnect icon or image appear where a YouTube video would have appeared instead of the blank space. I don't know if this is possible but I think it would be a quicker and more intuitive way to give google permission to see me on a page, particularly if I allowed a friend that is not familiar with Disconnect to surf on my computer.
