I joined purely to comment to ScrapBook; my favorite add-on with FireBug.
I think it is an excellent idea. I personally had been getting by using a custom made type box. It's just a plain text box that fills the width of my browser and sits in one of my tabs so I can use it for recording things on the go.
This is a fine add-on, but can it eliminate Ctrl+Shift+space? This is a locked space, and it can mess with formatting. Also, what if I *want* to keep the bold, underline, or italics, but none of the rest of the fluff?
Good idea, though. Thank you.
Go to Dictionary.com >> Tools >> Under "Third-party Tools" it'll have "Browser Plug-ins," just choose FireFox and add the ones you want.
I love this! It saves my eyes and makes things so much fun!
There is one little problem, though. If I hold ctrl and click I can make a division bar under the Property Group button. I love this; however, I cannot make the division line go away or move it to a new location. I want to be able to move the line up to a different spot.
Other than that, it does not color the Google search results. :(
A cool thing I think would be nice is if I could exclude certain colors. I wanted to do an infrared vision effect, which turned out cool for the most part, but infrared vision is white, yellow, orange, red, violet, purple, blue, black ___ It's hard to exclude green and cyan, and pink...
It shows an image of Google having a black background, yet this add-on does not do that. I still have the same white-page issue, and it detracts from this browser skin. Can you make the backgrounds have the same gorgeous black they should have? I have light sensitive eyes, and the black theme is the biggest reason I choose this add-on (and others). Other than that, It's lovely. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.8).
I love this add-on! It helps me with all kinds of artistic projects.
I would like to be able to save my favorites as a permanent pallet, under a different name, though. I filled up the last one, and I wanted to keep it, but the new update (whether for ColorZilla or FF, I am not sure - both happened at the same time) made the whole thing disappear. I lost all those favi colors. Also, why can we not reorder the colors in the favorites palette so they line up the way we want them to, and not just in the order we discovered the colors?
I love it! Coupled with ScrapBook and ColorZilla, it's the best! Even by itself its great! :D
I designed an entire forum skin using this and ColorZilla, and it was beautiful. :D
I love it! However, I would like to have 3 or 4 more highlighters for variety. I use them a lot, and I end up having to switch out colors. Even with the limited number of colors there are to work with, I still end up using about 7 different ones (8, sometimes). I use a red, orange, blue, green, purple, pink, and blue-green, just on average (all dark tones with lighter text and underline). I would like to be able to at least set and use these without having to switch them out all the time. While I have come up with three different variations of these seven (ranging from dark text and light background, to the reverse) as well as others, these are the ones I use nearly everyday.
There is plenty enough room to include as much as 4 more highlighters on the pop-up. I only ask for 3.
I use ScrapBook for my college courses so I can work offline, make notes, highlight (important!), and most importantly save (I love that!). I use it for this textbox I tripped out and saved with ScarpBook so I can remove formatting from text to copy over for assignments (coping the assignment information directly from my school site makes things wacky in Word). I also use this textbox as a full-screen note section. I use ScrapBook everyday, all day, and have for a long time now. It's one of two add-ons that I have never even considered getting rid of.
P.S. Coupled with FireBug, this add on is the best, most reliable, and most handy that I have ever downloaded, and I love FF add-ons.
