In a little more detail...
My Development PhilosophyI do this for ME. It is an outlet for my creative expression. Sometimes I see work someone is doing, or that I am doing, and I'm inspired how I can make a tool or improve existing software that would assist. Maybe others can benefit from it.Regarding ReviewsSometimes folks say they really like my addons but they want a certain feature and so will "withhold" stars in the rating until they get it. Seems kind of like cohersion to me. Not a good idea.Regarding DonationsI'm sometimes asked, "Where's the Donate button?" I've chosen not to use one because the layout on AMO feels to me a bit like soliciting, and it implies funding for continued development, and I'm just not able to promise anything. However, there are some who sincerely want to express their thanks for the benefit they've received from my work. If you wish to make a donation, you can PayPal me at firstname.lastname@example.org. (I have seen sites that have a “tip jar”, which I think has a more favorable implication):-)
Add-ons I've created
Tab Groups Helper Requires Restart
Create and manage tab groups in a side-by-side list-view interface, or "Groups Bar" toolbar interface. Single or multi-tab close, bookmark, or move across groups. Search for tabs by title or content in current or all groups. Much more...
All Tabs Helper Requires Restart
Transforms "List all tabs" menu to do closing, loading, unloading, moving of single/multiple tabs. Search tab titles or *content* (remember "Find In Tabs"?), visited tabs history, find duplicate tabs - very helpful for mega-tab users. And more...
Hugo Search All Tabs Requires Restart
Search all loaded tabs- similar to Find in Tabs, etc. except has much more functionality. This is a comprehensive tool designed for doing research. Please see screen shots and description.
Audio Monitor Requires Restart
Detects which tab(s) are playing audio. Open a dropdown menu to detect which tab(s) are playing audio. Click on an entry and you will be taken to that tab. This works even if tab is in a different group. This will not work across windows.
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I am very glad to come across this addon. Sometimes I click on several links in YouTube to open in other tabs, and I used to have to immediately go to each tab and stop each one to keep from having several videos playing simultaneously. But now, not only do I no longer have to do that, but I get the bonus of not having them load either, keeping bandwith and resource usage down.
Plus now I have an additional bonus of not having unwanted videos playing when visiting sites that do this, keeping the annoyance factor down while again, saving bandwith and resources.
Thank you for your work.
Excellent Addon Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This addon is extremely useful, especially for many-tab users. It gives much power to tabs functionality, and makes the concept of tabs groups something much easier to grasp, in my opinion.
It does everything it advertises. The interface is simple and easy to catch on to. I tried it on FF 23 and everything works.
Thank you teramako for your efforts.
ps: It is a shame that users dock points only because an addon does not do something they want it to do. Please rate this addon on what it does, not on what you want it to do. Then you can kindly offer the developer your suggestions.
Very Nice Little Addon Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Does all it says and more. The memory reporting seems very accurate, neck and neck with Activity Monitor (Mac OS). I have done careful benchmark testing to check out several other addons that claim on-demand recovery of memory, and they flat haven't worked.
A simple little app that fills its shoes very well. Nice job.
