Japan Style - Kanagawa Great Wave HI RES

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I like it.

PDF Viewer(discontinued)

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Great on desktop (Mac) but appears not to work properly on Android (FF Beta 15). Really hope the kinks are worked out of it for Android so that it works smoothly on all platforms.

The latest unstable version (availabe from github) had a major overhaul appearance-wise and it looks fantastic. Great plugin. No longer has troubles with scanned image pdfs (e.g. from jstor).

Mozilla Labs: Prospector - OneLiner

Bug Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Here's a bug. Open a *new* tab. Press ctrl+l (or cmd+l for Mac) to enter the url field. Type 'ha'. Watch the 'ha' become replaced by 'wa'.

One workaround is to make sure every search engine has a non-empty keyword, even the default one. Then use that first, and follow up with the 'ha...' string so that it doesn't convert it to 'wa...' Of course the keyword can't start with 'ha'!

Still desperately needs some option to view toolbar buttons/icons for, e.g., lastpass, flashblock, etc.

The removal of the ability to see the navigation bar (which houses important buttons for extensions, etc.) is a real loss in version 2. I can't use it now.

The add-on is getting better with version 2 (at the bottom of this page that I stumbled upon by accident). I would still like to see the certificate button shrunk down to a decent size, and the ability to manually set the minimum (i.e. non-focused) url bar size. Right now, it's a fixed size, no matter how wide your window is set! (Those of us with lots of vertical screen real estate will find this FAR from ideal.)

Works great. The following features would be nice.
1. Resizable url bar, either manually or automatically depending on how much of the window tabs are occupying
2. Button revealing toolbar buttons that are now hidden (like lastpass and other add-ons)
3. url bar expands when focused (e.g. after pressing ctrl+L)
4. certificate "button" in url bar shows only the puzzle icon to save space

X-notifier (for Gmail,Hotmail,Yahoo,AOL ...)

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I set up two gmail accounts but for some reason it wouldn't check one of them. And the fact that is uses Firefox's password manager is a serious drawback. (I'm using lastpass for password management.)

Quick Translator

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Just installed it and it's sweet. Detects languages automagically, translates whole page or selected text (with a window that pops up at the bottom with translated text) and has hotkeys for everything.

As far as I can see, it doesn't have the function to automatically ask to translate a page, but actually I find that more of an annoyance. I'd happily rather press ctrl + alt + p to do the whole page manually.

Strata RELOADED

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This theme looks FRESH in KDE (Kubuntu 10.10). I'm using it with oxygen-gtk and small icons (since the bookmarks, adblock, etc. buttons look better).

Google Contacts

Great like goat. Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I don't know if this is better than zindus because zindus doesn't work with pre-release versions of Thunderbird, but this extension works great. (I haven't tested one reviewer's claim that offline changes are lost and not synced, but I'll surely keep that in mind.)

GmailAgenda

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I thought this was nice when I first installed it (and it is), but I noticed the exact same functionality is already available in gcal labs as "Google Calendar Gadget". I prefer the gadget over this add on because it doesn't take up extra space on my small laptop screen.

Dope.

QuickNote

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

*instant* (no joke!) access to a (max.) 4-tabbed note-taking utility. Provides only basic ASCII (possibly unicode) editor. I use this extension all the time, even when I'm dead.

Elementary Theme

Like another review, I far prefer version 1. You should keep them separate themes.

autoHideStatusbar

Doesn't work properly in Ubuntu 8.10, but works perfectly in Win XP. A shame!

Google Books

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

It's nice and all but how about using an icon which distinguishes it from the web google search? C'mon!!!

GCal Popup

Awesome Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've tested this on all the popular sites I visit and I haven't had any problems with it. Much nicer than opening a separate tab, if you ask me! (Plus any attempts to get gcal to load nicely in my sidebar hasn't worked, so this is wicked.)

I have noticed the oddity that it doesn't always remember its size on last view, so it opens at different sizes sometimes.

Suggestion: Make a *gmail* popup!
