Awesome Screenshot Plus - Capture, Annotate & More

Three words: SNAPFISH and MASSIVE INSECURITY Rated 1 out of 5 stars

In case you are not aware of it, this extension incorporates SnapFish, which has been implicated in a MASSIVE INSECURITY issue which would allow malicious individuals to redirect users from legitimate sites to fraudulent, password stealing fake sites. Security experts are indeed labeling it as malware, and beginning their descriptions of the security issues with the phrase, "It's so badly designed..." Is this really the sort of extension you want in your browser?

Super Video Downloader / Youtube Downloader

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Does what is says and does it well. HOWEVER, if you have this extension installed and are working on a WordPress site, be prepared for it to screw up your graphics. It inserts unwanted code which causes the images to be hidden ( style="visibility: hidden;"). Further, it inserts links to third party website (<div style="height: 250px; width: 250px; cursor: pointer; position: absolute; top: 11px; left: 8px;"><iframe style="width: 250px; height: 250px;" src="http://www.pikaonline.com/sda.php?nw=250&amp;nh=250" frameborder="0"></iframe></div>). This is unacceptable behaviour and leads me to wonder what else it is doing that the author has not revealed.

Handy when needed, but makes the launch of Firefox painfully slow.

Would be good except Rated 2 out of 5 stars

There used to be a way to disable the da*n ads they shove into your browser with this. Now there doesn't seem to be. Would be a great utility if it were for the POS ads.

Omnibar

Handy, but minor conflict Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Very handy, but kills the "grey Search Engine FavIcon" option for themes such as Default Mod. Any way to make the two play nice?

Decent -- Except for the CRAPWARE Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Authors state: "This extension also integrate some additional features such as 'Discover Similar Sites' and 'Price Comparison While You Shop.' These are value-added features, and definitely are not "Malware" or "Adware" as some may mistakenly believe."

Bull!!! It is definitely a form of Adware. And it is definitely CRAPWARE. The screenshot extension itself is good but will not get more than 3-stars from me until the additional CRAP is removed.

flickr original

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Had been doing the job very well, then quit working. When it starts working again, my only wish would be that it would open the image in the same tab, not a new tab.

UPDATE: It seems the trick to making this work is to right click directly over the image. This needs to be corrected.

Default Mod

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Great theme, but has conflicts with TabMix plus, especially when trying to put the tab close buttons to the left of the tabs.

RightToClick

Great but with 1 minor caveat Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Most of the time, this extension is great. However, anyone attending on-line college classes which are using Desire2Learn (D2L) will find that this extension screws up the use of that system. D2L is very much Java-centric and this extension will cause certain functions in D2L to simply hang.

YesScript

Needs better FF 4 compatibility - updated review Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Not fully compatible with FF 4. Requires the use of the "Add On Bar" and has no option for being placed in the "Navigation Toolbar".

From author: "While YesScript goes into the add-on bar by default, you can customize it like any other toolbar button. Just go View, Toolbars, Customize, then you can drag it to wherever you like."

Yep. I stand corrected.

Adblock Plus

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Not fully compatible with FF 4. Requires use of the "Add On Bar". Needs an option to appear as a button in the "Navigation Bar".

ShowIP

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Not totally "compatible" with FF4. Requires the Add-On Bar be visible for the IP address to be seen. Needs to be updated to allow the IP address to be displayed in the navigation toolbar or tab bar.

Combine Stop-Reload Buttons

What's the difference...? Rated 3 out of 5 stars

The 'author' of this add-on say it is "Based on Stop-or-Reload Button (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/313) by Caio Chassot". So, what's different about this? Nothing the I have found so far. So, what's the difference? And what's the point?
