The latest version 1.8.70 has created a compatibility issue with the Quickfox Notes addon. If using this latest theme, when viewing a note in Quickfox notes, the scroll bar is compressed to about one inch in the center of screen for displaying the note. Above and below the scroll bar maximum which makes up most of the screen is blank and only the inch within the scroll bar size shows the visual text. Downgrading to the previous version of Nautipolis or using a different theme removes this issue. This update created the problem. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.8.70).
I was able to modify it to work on Firefox 3.6. It appears to work fine. This may be a temporary fix but may also be all the author does to fix it. Download a copy of the the extension to your pc.
* save the extension to your computer: right-click and select "save link as".
* download 7-zip: http://www.7-zip.org/, an excellent open-source software for archiving files, and install it.
* right-click on the extension (organize_search_engines-1.5-fx.xpi), open with "7-zip" and then on "open archive". Right-click on "install.rdf", select "Edit" and replace maxVersion>3.5.*" with "3.6.*" (change the number 5 to 6). Save the file, close Notepad and update the archive.
* now you can drag the .xpi file to your browser and install the extension.
