JSOff used to work fine in Mac Firefox, then disappeared no matter what I did. It took me an hour or two to find out what was going on.
I'm still running Firefox 28 (purposely) in both Mac (Snow Leopard) and in Windows 7. JSOff 1.02 still works fine in Windows 7 FF28, but doesn't show up at all, anywhere, in Mac FF28. The Add-Ons Manager shows it as "installed" and active, but there's no button and no way to access it (even during the toolbar "Customize" routine). I even created a new, blank profile in case there was an extensions conflict; made no difference.
I was luckily able to roll back JSOff to the previous version (1.01) and now it works on my Mac again. I guess the developer never bothered testing version 1.02 in Mac Firefox 28.
I agree with AlenFox. The button in the bottom toolbar is frozen in one position. "Customize..." lets me move most icons where I like, but not this one. Its position is non-customizable in both Mac Firefox and Windows Firefox, although in a slightly different way. In both Firefoxes, I use Status-4-Evar to control the bottom toolbar, if that matters (I doubt that it does). Other than that, it's a very convenient little accessory. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.15).
Littlefox worked well for me (on a Mac) up through Firefox 20. Unfortunately, it no longer works right in Firefox 21.
There's now an ugly horizontal line right under all the toolbar icons, even going right through the icons in some cases.
Worse than that, this theme now adds two extra icons (or causes them to be visible) at the right end of whichever toolbar is at the top of the window: an icon to go fullscreen, and an icon to close the window. They're not actually attached to any toolbar, since they appear even if you close all toolbars; they seem to be attached to the window itself. To me they're just redundant clutter, since they're duplicating standard-Mac items that are at the top left of every window.
Sadly, I have to disable Littlefox in Mac Firefox 21.
Anyone know why Mozilla doesn't update this page? I have ViewSourceWith version 0.9.3, which I got from the developer's own website... not the old version 0.9.1.1 I see listed here. The current version works fine with Firefox 18. People are getting the wrong impression from this outdated download link and the outdated "no longer works" reviews. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.9.1.1).
I'm using Mac Firefox. Until recently, Font Finder worked fine. In the newest version of Mac Firefox (15.0.1), however, Font Finder only works the first time I use it after launching Firefox. After that, the extension doesn't work. I have to quit and re-launch Firefox each time I want to use Font Finder -- which obviously makes Font Finder completely impractical to use. The highlighting (of the extension's icon, if clicked on, and the text) seems normal, but no informational box pops up at all. Nothing. It (mis)behaves the same way regardless of whether I use the Font Finder contextual menu or the toolbar icon. A shame, really; it was great when it worked.
Does the developer test this in the Mac version? Of course it's possible there's some conflict with another extension I run, since I do run a bunch. Any suggestions would be appreciated; I miss this extension.
