Eliminate whatever annoyance or distraction you desire on any web page. Very useful, practical in making the web just a little less intolerable regarding the things that are visually intrusive, dissonant with one easy click. I remember the day when 'Nuke This'' would make any change you made permanent. These days the change will endure only as long as the browser session lasts. Nevertheless, it hasn't lost a step nor its value as an indispensable tool in any web user's add-on repertoire. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.2).
I've been using the extension "Better Privacy" to keep my browsing activities cloaked in anonymity, keeping me under the radar as discreet, far away, as possible from the unseen cadre of shadowy, prying eyes from the innocuous ad marketer, the malevolent scam artist and the sinister forces of government 24/7 surveillance that track your every move, every keystroke in ways you aren't even aware of, nor hope to ever avoid completely.
It's does a great job of deleting even the most intransigent of flash cookies that been known to be resistant to the conventional method of removing tracking cookies, to remain on your hard drive indefinitely. Using it will have the cookies accumulate for you to delete at your disposal.
I've installed "Self-Destructing Cookies", deleted my cookies before spending more than 12 hours online, browsing, going about my business as usual and with each cookie attempting to have me tracked a small icon on the bottom right alerts you to the cookie having been destroyed before ever getting on your desktop. After about 12 hours I checked the Firefox Options Panel under the 'Privacy'' category to check for any cookies that might have accumulated. I was absolutely flabbergasted that there did not appear a single cookie having accumulated throughout the entire session. It is my humble opinion that Self-Destructive Cookies has got to be the greatest innovation in internet privacy ever. The internet having been created in a haphazard, not very well thought out manner, the consequences of which having left it, its users, vulnerable to its considerable weakness ,downside in the form of spam, the ability to track, accumulate data against users' best interests. But at least now, and the oreseeable future 'Self-Destructive Cookies' is a godsend in having leveled the playing field in defiance of the billion dollar industry that the tracking cookie has spawned.
The original Google Real Time was a fantastic search tool combining the comprehensiveness of Google search with the immediacy and coolness factor of Twitter. Google cancelled its deal with Twitter after only a little while probably because it was too much of a good deal for Twitter and users alike.
I really missed Google Real Time having lost a great tool in which to stay ahead and on top of things in a way I was unable to otherwise. I was thrilled to have discovered the Firefox Google Real Time search add-on and highly recommend it to everyone interested in getting a leg up on the competition. Fantastic tool.
I've been searching for free RSS feed creators without much luck. The ones I had once used are all paid services now and the ones that are free are overly complex, complicated. I decided to do a Firefox add on search and voila!. This add on
appeared that was the answer to my prayers. It passed the ultimate RSS feed test by getting My Yahoo to accept it. This is the greatest add on for what it does EVER! I was very skeptical at first but it is absolutely true, the easiest, most convenient RSS tool Go for it!
Does an excellent job of blocking all sites in an airtight manner. Excellent add-on. Highly recommended. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.7.1.1).
I want to thank you very much for creating Preferences Monitor.. Preferences Monitor was no.1 on my extension wish list due to the inexplicable changes taking place whereby all the labor intensive changes made were mysteriously reset back to their default mode.having occurred several times. Thank you once again for your very thoughtful piece of creative genius.that will make my life a bit more secure.and one less thing to worry about. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.5).
