Yes the new versions do not work so well
Short version: 2 stars as when it works it works greatly the watermark however is simply un needed(command line given to user to mux with their own program would be free of GNU fees).
TL:DR: Yes the new versions do not work so well…
However it’s not the plugin makers fault as many video sites are using new forms of protection or segmented layered videos that take some effort to pull out and put back together. They could however just work on donations and offer better codec optimizations for smaller file sizes and higher video quality in a premium version, the silly desperate watermark is silly not when the temp files do not have them and the temp video file is the same size as the muxed file most of the time. They are simply muxed into one file with the silly desperate watermark, you guys are trying a bit hard to push sales or be over protective of GNUs, at the very least allow us to get the audio and video files so we can mux them without the silly desperate watermarks..
And yes every time I select a 720 or 1080 video in YT then select that in DVH it leaves a watermark once it’s complete so I doubt that’s a bug but rather a feature to drive sales.
I am running FF 36,46 and the newest version I have tested youtube with VDH versions 4X, 5X and the newest 6.3.1
It’s annoying you have to need a secondary and tertiary processes to get a video but these are the times we live in. Sooner rather than later Firefox, Chrome and IE/Edge will have hard coded DRM layers that will prevent you from nabbing a picture or video or audio or avoid authorized advertisement and you will have to use a separate program to get them but this is where we are headed since fair use is dead and the copyright Nazis have won. We need to open up IP and focus on giving IP owners a cut of revenue and let anyone sell it, get away from draconian information and revenue stagnation…
Also did I mention Download video helpers silly desperate watermark?
Love it! Rated 4 out of 5 stars
IMO it only needs 1 thing, it has a tenancy to grab text thats a space or 2 away from the link, might can put in an option to not read autogenerated time text and other stuff that might show up after a post. Also you might can make a autoload feature where it looks at the link when you hover over a link then adjusts the URL by getting rid of bad/not found page links. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.1.2013040601.1-signed).

Ack it ate my suggestions..
Frist off you need features ,look at reload every and implement a feature that counts down to automatically pauses any page that is not active, then add a option where whe you click on it ,it will unpause and reload the page. Also would be nice if you added a un pause all page tab by pause all tabs but this one.

When/if can you have the ability to move the toolbar row length with the mouse? this si the only feature that keeps this great add on from being perfect, I have dropped chrome to stay with this add on(well that and bookmarks keep site notes and junk)! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.3).
A bug no more! Rated 4 out of 5 stars
For the last year this had a very nasty bug that paused and stalled videos loading for the path 2 or 3 months I been disabling this until I need to get something.
Now they fixed the bug and this is without a doubt one of the best FF video addons!!!! (Multirow Bookmarks Toolbar is my fav of favs tho :P)
