My Reviews

Video DownloadHelper

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I'm not liking this. Not only does it not download the video you request, it then requires you to download a 36-megabyte "buddy" EXE file. The whole purpose of Firefox plugins is to avoid installing EXEs. Did you have Mozilla Firefox check your external EXE for viruses ? Then how do we know it's safe ?

Also I wouldn't trust =ANY= anonymous reviews. Anyone can do those, including the author or company employees presenting the plugin.

Please write a Firefox plugin that does not require additional EXE installations.

Ant Video Downloader

Does not download from PutLocker.

Video Downloader professional

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Beware. This is not even an add-on. It is a click-link to go to their site where you must pay $9.95 to purchase their "Downloader."

Dailymotion Video Downloader

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Only downloads half the video. Either error or deliberate attempt to encourage purchase of premium plugin. Disabled, uninstalled, and removed. I found one that does download Dailymotion quite well, however.

Low Quality Flash

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Doesn't work on Newgrounds. If it doesn't work there I doubt it'll work on any other site.

URL Swap

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Works as it should. Request that it has an option to go a little deeper and allow changing of an image URL to a different URL image or even a local file.

Could also exchange a URL with a blank so it just will not appear anytime you load that page.

Thanks !

India Only Rated 1 out of 5 stars

According to the link it sends you to, they only provide the service for INDIA, not the United States.

Suggestion Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I give this 4-stars, not 5 because there is no configuration. What would be nice is to have an option so when you click on a tab it doesn't immediately open to the right, but if you hold down the CTRL key, it does.

Or, you could have it by default open to the right and you hold down the CTRL key to have it replace the same tab you are on.

Currently it just always opens a new tab to the right, and for some Javascript, that requires me to disable this plugin in order to have it run correctly.

Nice job Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Yep, my first Firefox Add-On review. Want to say I've =REALLY= been wanting this particular one so my tabs don't suddenly whizz out of view to the left as I average 30-per session. Thank you so much ! Works just as it says it does.

As for reversing the tabs when you shut down Firefox and bring it back up again, either this glitch has been fixed or did not appear for me.

Take care ...

Problem with Xanga Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This is excellent ... If it worked on all sites.

I tried replacing "abcdefgh" and "abcdefgh" at an HTML level to ensure nothing was modified on the page and my Xanga page loads differently when it replaces. The images and ad window do not not appear.

And since there is no HTML command of abcdefgh, nothing should be different at all. I am presuming you are using a different HTML viewer than the default Firefox one ?

Try as I explained here:

Any chance of you getting it to work with Xanga ? Really would appreciate that. Seems to work all other sites so nice job on that !
