Windows Favorites

Seems Functional - Needs Work Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Only access to this extension is via a "Favorites" item added to Menu Bar. On installation, this addon makes permanent changes to the user's UI
settings for the Title Bar and Menu Bar, which is inappropriate. When the Favorites item is clicked for the first time in a Firefox session, it takes
an extraordinary amount of time to show the drop-down menu list, and quite frequently a "Not Responding" error message is shown. Evidently,
this extension does not use the built-in Windows code to manipulate Favorites (unlike the PlainOldFavorites extension), and it suffers by comparison.
The functions I tested seemed to work, but usage is not at all clear. I was intrigued by the claim that this extension works in Linux, so I installed
it in my Linux Mint, but it did not seem to have any function at all there, not even an item added to the Menu Bar.
Tested with FF 52.01, Windows 10, Linux Mint 17.3.

History Janitor

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Installed. Restarted Firefox. Let Firefox idle for several minutes. Absolutely no change to Firefox history.
Restarted and idled several more times. Still no effect.
This extension gets a big Zero mark from me.

Useless Rated 1 out of 5 stars

The extension description gives the impression that one can save a link in various formats, but this is evidently
not true. When one chooses "save link as file" one is given the choice of saving to the "current directory" or you
can "edit directories". Now, what the phrase "current directory" means outside of of a command-line shell I have
no idea. The "edit directories" choice brings up a blank text box: again, one is led to believe there should be
a file/directory chooser dialog shown, but there is not. This extension may do what the author intended, but
that intention is extemely obscure and the published description needs some serious work.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.2.1-signed.1-signed).

Context Font

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This extension added an entry in the context menu for selected text allright, but it was the same entry for all webpages, all fonts,
all sizes: "11px serif". In other words, completely useless.

Expire history by days

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This extension functioned well for some time after I installed it. However, it seems to have failed completely about a
month ago, judging from the contents of my browsing history list. Too bad, since now I am back to the plight of the
standard Firefox user, who will danged well keep as much history as the Mozilla developers say he will.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.1-signed).
