Redirect Virus Rated 5 out of 5 stars
There's a redirect virus masquerading as this add-on by the same name. I never installed (the official or unofficial) Translate This! to my knowledge, but I had it in my extensions list. I didn't realize it was there until my Google searches became corrupted by this virus. I'd search for something legitimate, like Expedia, and seemingly get results to expedia.com, but when clicked they'd redirect to another site that had nothing to do with Expedia. This happened despite running AVG and/or Malwarebytes, neither of them could find the infection, although Malwarebytes did block Firefox from going to the fraudulent links. Nevertheless, this was very annoying and I tried everything (combofix, tdsskiller, hitman pro) to solve the problem. Finally, I found http://www.seabreezecomputers.com/tips/happili.htm which solved the issue.
Now before I get flamed, I am not saying that this isn't a legitimate add-on. I'm saying that there is a virus pretending to be this add-on. It uses the same name and shows up in the extension list just like the real one would. I just wanted to warn the author and let other people know who have this virus that there is a way to remove it.
