This extension is a MUST-HAVE! I have been using it for years and it's an integral part of Firefox for me.
The developer is working hard as we speak to release a Firefox 57 Quantum compatible version, and it should be available in the next few weeks.
Looking forward to it!

I've been using Stylish for many years with Firefox to customize the user interface itself. It was very convenient. Unfortunately since FF57 manipulating the user interface is no longer supported via add-ons (have to do it manually through userChrome.css). This is of course not the developer's fault and this is still a very good add-on for what it does, but no longer useful to me I'm afraid. This is why I gave it only 4/5 stars.

I decided to try this add-on as an alternative to Greasemonkey which I've been using for years. The reason is that Greasemonkey (v4.0) stopped working once I upgraded to FF57. This add-on works great with FF57 however, and functions just like GM basically, so it's a great alternative. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.5.5590).
Abandoned... do not download! Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Scriptish was great and I used it for quite a long time, but sadly it seems to have been abandoned by the developers (no updates in over a year), and now with the new FF30 scripts don't work properly anymore when using Scriptish. Use Greasmonkey folks! This user has a previous review of this add-on.
Doesn't work with Firefox 29 + restored add-on bar Rated 1 out of 5 stars
In the new Firefox 29 (Australis UI) you can restore the add-on bar using an extension like "Classic Theme Restorer" or "New Add-on bar". However, this extension will not work with them.
Hope the developer updates it, but in most likelihood he abandoned this extension a long time ago (>year since last update).
Oh well... :(
Amazing! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This add-on is absolutely fantastic! Finally I have all the custom search options I ever wanted! Thank you!! :DThis review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.1-signed).
Could use an on/off toolbar button... Rated 5 out of 5 stars
The problem with this extension is that it also blocks the marking of messages as "read". So as long as it's on, messages in the inbox will forever be marked as "unread" which is really annoying. Of course in order to apply the "read" status, you can disable the add-on temporarily, click on the messages, then re-enable it, but that's very time consuming having to go to the add-ons manager every time etc.
A tool bar button for turning it on/off would save a lot of time in that case!
The developer now added an on/off button, making this the first extension of its kind for Firefox to finally offer this feature! I therefor updated my Rating from 4-stars to 5-stars! Very nice, thank you!
My only criticism is that the button *icon* is not very stylish. It has non-transparent white background, and the icon itself is too small. So maybe if in the future you could address that as well it would improve the add-on even more! :)
Works great and doesn't slow down browsing like some other similar add-ons! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I tried "Ghostery" which is another popular add-on that does the same thing, and it noticeably slowed down page loading times on *some* pages (especially ones which I have custom user-scripts for which I guess conflict with it somehow)! This one however does not suffer from the same problem and works great w/regards to blocking all the tracking elements on every page without impacting performance!
I would however like to have more customization options, for example if I choose to move the DoNotTrackMe button to the add-ons bar at the bottom, I would like the pop-up to be at the bottom-right corner, but there's no option to change that and it still appears in the default top right location.
Also it would have been nice if like with with "Ghostery", it provided more information on the various tracking companies it detects/blocks.
Otherwise great add-on!
Works very well with Firfox 18! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
So far does what it's supposed to do! Removes all google redirect links and replaces with direct links. Works also for google image & video searches! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5.1-signed).
Old time Greasemonkey user like I was? Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I have to admit, I'm usually a devout adherent to the old adage of: "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". So if you're anything like me, naturally you're a little apprehensive about trying this one out as it's basically an alternative to Greasemonkey which you've probably used for YEARS without any problems!
So is it really worth it?
Well, all I can say is that the transition is very seamless, as they work pretty much the same way in terms of the user-experience. I really like however the added settings this add-on provides over Greasemonkey, like caching the scripts in memory for faster performance (which I don't really know if it makes that much of a difference, but still it's nice to have), added security settings, and just overall extended settings which are simply not available at all in Greasemonkey. It also features a built in editor which I found to be very nice and convenient!
The bottom line is that this is a better more optimized version of Greasemonkey, and yet works in much the same way so there's no learning curve here if you're making the switch. As a programmer myself who values such things, knowing that I'm using a more efficient optimized add-on is very satisfying.
- No learning curve over Greasemonkey. Transition is very seamless, and works very much the same way.
- Extended settings (including security, script caching etc.) which are not available at all in Greasemonkey.
- Built in editor + more user-friendly when creating a new script!
- Faster, more optimized and efficient compared to its counterpart.
- No import option for scripts and their related settings from Greasemonkey. So if you're using a lot of scripts you're gonna have to manually re-install them all after making the switch.
- Not very stylish! The little green scroll icon used by Scriptish is kind of old fashioned and ugly. This actually DOES make a difference to a lot of people. Greasemonkey's one is more modern and detailed which just LOOKS better. Not a make or break issue for me personally, but definitely something the add-on developers should address.
I hope you found this review helpful!

- Does the job it's supposed to do.
- No "on the fly" button to turn it on/off like in the Google Chrome version.
- Works by blocking the facebook php script which sends the "seen" notification. Problem is that same script also marks the messages as "read". This means that all new messages will forever be marked as "unread" as long as this add-on is enabled (thus, lack of on/off button is a real problem).
A better alternative is to use this user-script for Greasemonkey/Scriptish:
That way you can easily turn it on/off on the fly!
Does what I want it to do, but why is it even needed? Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I don't understand why this isn't built into AdBlock Plus directly, rather than having to install another extension just to have more settings options for the first extension. Pretty weird concept if you ask me. But otherwise it does what it's supposed to, so I'm happy with it!This review is for a previous version of the add-on (188.8.131.52-signed).
Great add-on but background is transparent instead of gradient? Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I don't know if this is because of some conflict with another extension I have, but the background for the add-on bar *and* the search bar is completely transparent instead of being a gradient. Any fixes for this?
Sorry, it was indeed due to a conflict with another user-style called "Choose Your Color" which I am also using.
For anyone having the same problem/conflict, here's how to fix it:
1. Add-ons -> User Styles -> "Firefox: Choose Your Color" -> Edit
2. Find line number 188 which should have the following code:
-moz-appearance: -moz-win-glass !important;
3. Replace with:
-moz-appearance: ; /*-moz-win-glass !important;*/
4. Hit "Save" button and enjoy! :)
Now backgrounds for both the add-ons bar and the search bar will no longer be transparent!
Just awesome! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Not only restores classic buttons, but also has many neat customization features! Absolutely a must have add-on!This review is for a previous version of the add-on (184.108.40.206-signed).
Firefox 17 compatibility workaround! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
For those of you who updated to Firefox 17 and are experiencing compatibility issues with "Strata Reloaded", here is a workaround:
1. Install the "Disable Add-on Compatibility Checks" add-on from this link:
2. Then in Firefox 17 simply navigate to "Add-ons" then "Appearance" and you will once again have the option to enable "Strata Reloaded".
The theme is *mostly* compatible with the new Firefox 17, but some things just won't display properly, for example: The new tab page is all messed up, and a few other minor issues!
I contacted the author about an update for the theme, but he said that it's very unlikely and that he basically discontinued it's development for good. So my suggestion is to stop using it!
You can actually make the default Firefox theme very similar to this one by manually importing the awesome unique "Firefox start button" from this theme into a style for the "User Styles" extension (or into userChrome.css). This is done by extracting the *.xpi file and manually copy-pasting the CSS code and images associated with the button from the theme.
There's also a user styles extension called "Firefox: Choose your color" which can alter the Firefox default theme's color into the slightly darker one used in "Strata Reloaded", so in essence it becomes almost identical. Lastly You can also get the classical Back & Forward round buttons with an extension called "Classic Toolbar Buttons". So with all of the above, you can essentially duplicate this theme with the Firefox default theme, and phase this one out for good, there by also avoiding any incompatibility issues with the new versions of Firefox :)
