"Please do not post bug reports in reviews. We do not make your email address available to add-on developers and they may need to contact you to help resolve your issue."
I can understand that, it's fine, but we have nowhere else to post them. There's no contact information anywhere, not even on dkgo's page, linked in the title. How about a website or forum link, or even a mailto? Otherwise I'll have to post my bug report here like everyone else has done, which skews the rating results.
Nice look in the toolbar area but other parts of the chrome are just flat, dark grey. I'd like a metal look on the All-in-One Sidebar toolbar and something more interesting as a background in the expanded sidebar.
But regardless, it's a great-looking theme that appeals to my steampunk side. Nice work!
(I do have a bug report to file so will be doing that in the appropriate place, regarding time it takes for FF to launch, but don't let that stop you from trying this theme.)
This is one of the most useful and versatile tools ever created, in add-ons and outside of Firefox. It's powerful and is the perfect tool for organizing research or collections of any kind of information. Everyone needs Zotero! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.9).
Ever since Firefox version 3.6.4, I've had trouble with TMP not loading up correctly after a FF upgrade. Only the first of 6 home tabs opens, plus one untitled blank tab. None of the TMP options takes effect -- and if I go to Tools>Extension Options and choose Tab Mix Plus, every setting in the dialog box is blank. At some point, randomly TMP will start working correctly after several exits and restarts of Firefox.
TMP is an essential extension, in my opinion, a definite must-have! I wish there were a version for Google Chrome, but I also wish it would behave correctly after FF upgrades. That's the only reason I dropped one star from my rating.
Ever since about version 3.6.4 of Firefox, TMP doesn't load correctly. It does show up in the Extensions list and in Tools>Extension options, I can select TMP but every setting in its dialog box is blank. Randomly it will start working again after several restarts of Firefox.
Once it works, it's one of the best extensions out there. I've been a longtime user---this one is a must-have for me.
I love this add-on in spite of a couple of quirks I found. One is that you can typically only display a few shortcuts as a toolbar, otherwise, other items in the address bar can get pushed offscreen, along with the window contents below it. But in that case, just go into Tools>Add-ons>Google Shortcuts>Settings, and change the Display Options to drop-down menu.
The other problem I found is that I'm in the USA, my browser is set to English and I've installed the English version of Google Earth, but the Google Earth shortcut takes me to the Spanish page.
This add-on is so downright useful to me that I can live with those problems; I'll just use the Google toolbar to get to Google Earth and use the drop-down menu display option (which probably should be the right option for anyone like me who enjoys playing with Google services; someday I'd like to see a side-by-side menu instead of a scroll menu so I can see all the services without scrolling... but I can live with the scroll menu for now, too).
Thank you, Soeren, for a very good and useful idea.
I use a large number of add-ons, some of which are an important part of my daily activities. CoolPreviews tops that list. I use it to read e-mails and forum postings in a subject list, find websites in a list of search results, download files from PortableApps.com without leaving the applications list, and any number of other little things where I don't want to leave the web page. I use it a hundred times a day, easily. CoolPreviews speeds up my web browsing experience.
I noticed one person's comment about CoolPreviews popping up when not wanted. This user clearly has not explored the CoolPreviews options, where users can configure how they want it to work. I've set mine to pop the CoolPreviews icon to the right of the link, and open the preview on mouseover of the icon. Works great! (Only in cases where a link is just one or two characters long, or is a very small image will I sometimes get an unwanted preview window. You can imagine how often that happens: practically never.)
Is there a dev version for 3.5 that we can install and test? I'm lost without Scrapbook! I use it to organize everything from do-it-yourself home projects to product research for my day job and freelance projects. It's all lost to FF 3.5! Please update soon. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (220.127.116.11).
