Right Links

Great add-on! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Generally this add-on is exactly what I was looking for.
Right click to open link in new tab.
Holding right click for 0,5 sec. to open context menu.
Brilliant! Nothing more to add.

...but I've got one BUT

I also use "mouse gesture" app.
I know that propanly the better choice is to pick up some firefox's add-on like e.g. Firegestures, but I prefer external app witch called StrokeIt and allow to uses mouse gestures for all Windows apps, not only for firefox browser.

For some reason, when I use StrokeIt, after clicking on link and holding mouse button longer than defined timeout (500 ms), context menu not want to show up :(

Everything is ok when I turn off StrokeIt.
To be honest I've to add that in conjunction with Firegestures that problem doesn't appear.
So you propably give me advice to get rid of StrokeIt and stick with Firegestures.
I also add that both StrokeIt and Firegestures I use with right mouse button.

So, may I ask you to check why your add-on doesn't work properly with StrokeIt?
I would be really thankful.

Kind Regards

Thank you for your quick answer.

FireGestures

Outstanding add-on! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

First of all, FG is just outstanding add-on!
Simply one of those without which I cannot browse the web.

But I've got only one problem.
Is it possible to execute a global shortcut?

When you set e.g. Ctrl+T it opens new tab
But when you set e.g. Alt+Shift+Tab to switch between currently open windows e.g. firefox and windows explorer, nothing happens :(

I know that FG works within the firefox's window, but is it possible to execute global shortcut using e.g. this script:

Send Key Event:

FireGestures.sendKeyEvent({ alt: true, shift: true, keyCode: "DOM_VK_TAB"});

I tried it but not working :(

I would be really thankful for your help.

Kind Regards

InstaClick

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Eric, your add-on is pretty good.
But I've got one suggestion.
To temporality re-enable context menu we've to press ctrl.
It would be a better solution to replace it by "longer press"

so,
normal click opens link in new tab
"longer click" (holding the mouse button for 1 second) opens context menu

What do you think about that?

Grab and Drag

Awesome add-on! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Ian, your add-on is definitely one of my favourite!
What can I say.more...? It's AWESOME !

I just found out new released version and it's great to finally have these two features:
- website blacklist
- dragging horizontally to selecting text

Especially that second one!
But I've got only one suggestion of imrovement.
Please add feature "dragging horizontally" on link to e.g. open link in new tab (like well-know method 'drag and drop' from e.g. Tab Utilities)

I know that there is an option "disable dragging on links" and it's theoretically solves the whole problem but in order to use your add-on fully comfortable it's hard to have that feature checked, cause links are vey popular and common elements on many pages (especially on large portals) and sometimes it's dificult to find empty space to drag the page when you've got that setting 'disable on links' enabled)

Opening link in new tab by dragging it it's very usefull feature, so propablly some people (like e.g. me) have big dillema:

'Disable dragging on links" and no conflict with 'dragging link" to open it in new tab

or

Uncheck "Disable dragging on links" and using your add-on less comfortable because of searching each time empty space on page to drag it.

(I also use Firegesture with right mouse button, and I don't have middle one)

So plesae try to rethink this :)

Kind Regards

DblClicker

Simple but effective! That's it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

The funny thing is that I found out your add-on completly by accident and I've to admit that it's great! Simple but effective.

I have a suggestion of improvements.
In Opera there is a similar add-on which called "Long press".
Your works as "double click".
"Long press" as the name says works as "press left button and holding it for a second" to open link in new tab.

It's hard to say which method is a better one (double click or holiding), but maybe you'll try to add this feature to your add-on?

e.g.
"double click" to open link in new foreground tab
"long press" to open link in new background tab

It would be fantastic!
What do you think about that? :)

kind regards
