select text, drag to search with customized engines is the most frequently used option. But it can not pop up search engine list by default, you have to drag it to the icon. not good.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.11).
Awesome addon! Thanks a lot!
Really awesome. But, there is one thing I'd like to see. Why not have a dropdown search engine list by manually pressing down keys, which would be consistent with operations inputing words into the address bar. And, when you have more search engines, it is hard find the one you need exactly by using Ctrl+up/down arrows.*****Thank you for your quick reply. But shift + down/up arrows only show browse history, not search engine list.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.7.18.20130327). This user has a previous review of this add-on.
Thank you for developing such a great addon!
BTW, there is one thing to be better. When I fill in words to search in the address bar, and click on the right side to select a new search engine, will it automatically search after the new engine is selected?
It is a very nice add-on. However, when it translate the original line of words into the target language, how can I change back? I may want to look at the original language again.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (220.127.116.11).
A great addon.
But, can you make it possible to move site search engine outside of the submenu? If so, when I select a word or words and right click, site search can be done with more convenience.
Thanks, lwz. By following your instruction, I made it successfully. 1) select an engine, google for instance; 2) tick site search; 3) tick outside of submenu
It's really a great addon, but automatic search does not work for Firefox 10 when search engine change to automatically trigger a new search is ticked.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.6.2).
Can you add one more function:
When I select a word or words on a webpage and drage drop to a button in the search bar box on the upper right corner of the browser, it can automatically trigger search with that particular engine?
very useful extension.
But, there is a big bug.
In the instruction of this addon, you mentioned "search mutiple sites simutaenously", but i tried with all kinds of measures in line with the instruction and several different sites, it never works.
1) Some webpage engines can not be added;
2) Can not rename the added engines;
3) Can not separate existing engines with a line and folders
hope it will be better.
It's really a great extension. But, maybe it can be greater.
I drag to select and copy a word or some words, the original selected words are automatically released. If I want to do some other operation with it, I have to drag and select again. Can you offer an option to keep the selection and I can use Esc to cancel the selection manually? thanks.
Very handy addon.
But, can you add one more functionality? If I drag to select a word (or words) on a web page, right click, can there be an option to search the word inside this page or hightlight them.
very useful, thanks a lot.
But, how can I move a specific search engine outside the submenu? I tried my times, but failed.
It's great. Really helpful to me. Thanks a lot, andrey.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5).
