My Reviews

MAFIAAFIRE: Gee! No evil!

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This works on the google website but not in the search bar that comes with FF. I'm on FF 5 Beta 7.

Thank you so much for this product though.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.1.2).

Mozilla Labs: Prospector - AwesomeBar HD

Not a fan. Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I don't like the AwesomeBar, and I am very glad it is an add-on and not standard. If it were to become standard, you would have to give me the option to turn it off.I don't use tabbed browsing, and any search opens the results in a tab. I have a massive screen and alt+tab is comfortable for me so that's what I stick to.I don't enjoy the partially hidden URL. I like to know exactly where I am without having to move the mouse to hover.I also like my search bar and URL bar to be separate entities. This is a really cool add-on for people who use tabbed browsing and like to simplify their interfaces, but I don't like to combine my stuff. It's just like having an mp3 player and phone. Sure, I could have two in one, but I like them separate quite a bit more. (I even turned on the menu bar again because I like having it all there opposed to hidden in the previous update).

EDIT: I would also like to point out that the Add-Ons button no longer works because of AwesomeBar. If anyone would like to know how to remove it, you may go to Tools > Options > General > Manage Add-ons...
