New Tab Override (WebExtension)

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This replaces part of the functionality of Tax Mix Plus, which is letting me open new tabs to my homepage.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (9.0.0).

Tile Tabs WE

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Windows already lets me drag windows to the corner for a 4-window arrangement. This addon adds zero value to Firefox. However, this is Mozilla's fault 100%, not the addon developer's fault. Hence the 5 star rating ... dev is doing the best they can with nuked extension API.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (6.5).

Toggle JS

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

As of November 2017, this won't work in Firefox because it's using the legacy addon format.

I'll change this review if the plugin gets a rewrite.

Forecastfox (fix version)

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I've been using this add-on for many years now. (First the original and then I shifted over to this fork). However, the recent update completely changed the UI.

I used this because I still have the status bar, and I have a lot of space there to spare. This add-on would give a lot of information. However, it has been compressed. I used to be able to hover the mouse over something that was always visible, to immediately get radar. Now it's buried, and takes more time to load. Obviously this is just one person's opinion, but it is no longer the add-on that it once was.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.4).  This user has a previous review of this add-on.

Back/forward dropmarker

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It works perfectly, except that it's not compatible with E10s.

Forecastfox (fix version)

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This works perfectly. Radar opens and animates just like it always has. However, I think the question is where do we go from here. The GIF animated radar is starting to really look dated, when compared to the Google Maps overlay types that have scrolling controls that I can go back and forth on, pause, etc. Something like the Intellicast Interactive Radar Map, for example.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.3.5).

Select like a Boss

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Works perfectly. Most of the time I don't use it but when I need to, it just works, and saves time. It's a pity that FF decided not to make this the official behavior, but this addon fixes the problem.

Bing-Google

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Works perfectly.

Dust-Me Selectors

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This works very well in functionality. It's helped me find clean up CSS (though having to go to every page on a site does take a bit). My only problem with it is that there is no high-res icon. When I have it placed in the new dropdown menu, it looks blurry. Add the high-res icon, and I'll change this to 5-star.

EDIT: I mean the dropdown menu that shipped with Firefox starting with Australis. I'm using a 6 year old Dell, with a screen that is not in any way retina.

Stack Alert

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

It works, but it breaks Firefox visually because the icon is too large. Additionally, it can't be moved like other buttons. If those issues were fixed, it would get 5 stars.

SoundCloudPlayer

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is pretty amazing! Exactly what I was looking for. The only thing that would improve is if it was changed over to use the Add-On Bar instead of Status-Bar, because FF29+ doesn't have the status bar.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.0.4).

Weather Now

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

2 Stars because it can't be dragged around, and more importantly because I can't choose a city by State. I live in a small town, and there are 6 of them with the same name in the US. I have to guess from a list, with no way at all to know which I'm choosing.

AniWeather

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Broken on Australis, appears in top address bar, can't be dragged around.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.8.39.1-signed.1-signed).

Weather Watcher Live

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Doesn't work on Australis (FF29+). The author needs to talk with Classic Theme Restorer.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.21).

Forecastfox Weather

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

It's great, but with the version here (2.2.2), the radar won't update until closing and reopening Firefox. This is fixed in 2.2.4, but that version is difficult to find. Additionally, it's completely unusable on Australis (FF29+).

Kickass.to torrent search

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

This no longer works for any search strings that involve more than one word.

EDIT: At least while using FF 25, on Windows 7.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (20130723).

IE Tab V2 (Enhanced IE Tab)

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

It works, but without IE6 support there is no point. IE9 offers IE7-8 rendering in Dev mode. IE6 testing is what we need.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.1.3.1.1-signed).

DoubleClick Save Picture

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I had a previous version of this installed, but eventually I removed it because when I'd right click, images would save. I'm trying the new version and that bug seems to be fixed.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.20120215.1-signed.1-signed).  This user has a previous review of this add-on.

Classic Toolbar Buttons [Fx45-56][Tb24-58]

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

The buttons look perfect. However, when using the Large Back Button, the area that triggers is covers too far above, and covers have the File toolbar.

EDIT: Installed the 1.1.3pre3 and the problem has been fixed. Now 5/5 starts, perfect add-on!

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.2.1-signed).

DoubleClick Save Picture

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I was hesitant to install this, since Mozilla has only preliminarily checked it. But I did, and it works like a charm. Double click on an image and it saves it. Certainly saves time from right click/save image.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.20110417.1-signed.1-signed).
