Qute 4++

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Really like the theme; however, it seems FF 20.0 has thrown part of it for a loop. It seems the Web Developer stuff has changed and when inspecting an element, several buttons are missing along the developer toolbar and the appearance of the element identifier within the page has lost all of it's styling to where it gets lost in the page. It's just small black text now.

Extension List Dumper

Great add-on but it seems that with FF19 and v1.15.2 of this that all the files are being saved as Read-Only for some reason. The folder where they are being saved is not read-only and I can save files from other programs there that are not made read-only. Weird. I sent in a support email a week ago with no response so asking here.

Screengrab (fix version)

I can confirm that version 0.96.9c does now save images to the disk with Firefox 18.0. It even shows a dialog box saying that the file was saved. I tried all the methods of creating an image. Thanks for making it work! :)

Element Properties

Version 8 (1/14/2013) fixes the problem with it not showing the file size due changes in the FF cache. I can confirm it now works with FF18. Keep up the great work! :)

Ahh.. this would explain why I couldn't find the image I thought I saved to disk with FF 18 (probably didn't save a few others). Use this a lot. Hope it can be fixed for FF 18+ to save to disk. Right now ALT-PrintScreen is just as good to get something on clipboard. Probably a good idea to disable the extension in case I forget about it not actually saving the image to disk. My rating is more retro-active due to how much I used it.

Upon reading: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=2576141 it seems that just about all image capture/saving extensions will be affected by FF18+ when it comes to saving images to disk.

StrataM 4

This has been my most used theme. The main problem with version 1.13 (after adjusting the max version) is that the Developer portion when right-clicking and choosing Inspect Element is messed up, especially the layout section on the bottom-right.

Version 1.14 of this does correct the appearance of the Developer section. The Layout section now looks correct. There are still a few missing icon pieces it seems in the developer part of FF 16.X but it's workable.

I'm about ready to move on to another theme or something.

Boox

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I was able to get the 3.1alpha version from his main page at: http://joliclic.free.fr/mozilla/boox/en/index.php

It seems to work fine in FF 15.0. The 3.0 version which I did have installed caused the Bookmarks Toolbar to be completely empty. I've been using this Extension forever it seems like so I must like it! Disclaimer: I mainly use it for the Bookmark Tooltip stuff and none of the RSS Stuff really, so maybe a different extension would work better just for this aspect but I haven't bothered to look.

StrataM 4

Exactly what I've wanted since FF4.0 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is the only theme that I've installed. All I wanted was something to get rid of the blah icons and buttons of the default theme. I've been using this since FF4.0 came out. However, I have noticed that with FF13.0 the "New Tab" grid layout is messed up and a few icons/buttons are missing. This is more of a heads-up to the author as I don't see another contact method. Even so, I'm giving this 5 stars (I would have before F13).

Screengrab

Seems to work with FF8.0 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Still seems to work with FF8.0 as best I can tell (Windows XP Home/SP3). Either follow the instructions to change the maxversion in the .xpi file or use the Add-On Compatibility Reporter Extension to bypass the check and keep it enabled. Since it's so useful I'll still give 5 stars.

I can confirm what Zal wrote. Out of my own curiosity I got both the 0.9.8 and 0.9.10 versions and extracted their contents out in separate directories (I used 7-zip). I then ran windiff on both directories and the only differences were in install.rdf as Zal noted.

Anyway, I'm just a user.. not related to Zal, mozilla people, or any add-on developer. I'm using Win XP Home/SP3 w/ FF7.0.1

Just confirming what Zal claims about the differences with these two versions. What the future holds, who knows.

For those with Firefox 5.0, a compatible version 0.9.0.6 is here: http://users.skynet.be/mgueury/mozilla/new_upgrade4.html

Seems to work fine so far. Thanks for the update!
