This is a good idea for a cleaner add-on bar, but I absolutely detest the fact that the "hover to fade-in" effect cannot be disabled or tweaked in any way. I have different add-ons in this bar that I must always have an eye on. So this is not for me. Too bad though, because it looks nice. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2).
The only reason I can't give this add-on 5 stars is because it doesn't color the add-on bar at the bottom, which is a true shame really. It doesn't color the side windows such as "bookmarks" or "history" either. That breaks the impression of unity of the window and tingles my OCD pretty bad. It's been around for about a year and I would have thought this issue could have been resolved since then. Aside from that, it works/looks great. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.4.7).
Precisely what I needed. Thanks a bundle! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.1.1).
I managed to access a site which has been blocked from my country for months, so I guess it works.
However, there's yet no way to customize the add-on (which isn't necessarily bad). But... No contextual-menu shortcut for bookmarks: I have to tap my bookmark in Google to present it to the browser as a http link and only then can I make the context menu item appear... Are you serious? This plug-in has serious potential, but still needs some perfecting on the loose-ends.
Out of the 28 plug-ins I use, Fast Close Tab is one of the most fundamental plug-in in my setup - I simply could not imagine what I'd do without it! I'm a fast clicker and I have a very sensitive mouse. Fast Close Tab lets me close tabs with one large swipe across the screen without *EVER* missing my target. I no longer have to aim the little x and move the mouse towards each tab I want to close, which is the most annoying thing I can possibly think of doing in a browser (well, that, and change a proxy manually). Some will say -"Use ctrl+w", sure, that works and sometimes I do so (mostly when in window mode), but I prefer using my mouse, that's all there is to it! I feel it to be so much damn faster! If I want to close the whole browser, I don't mind clicking 3 or 4 times to close the tabs; otherwise I just use the additional x button which I placed directly below the red one.I went to Firefox 4, but I switched strait back when I realized that this plug-in wasn't compatible. As far as I'm concerned it is simply perfect exactly the way it is, no more, no less! PLEASE make this plug-in compatible with Firefox 4! I beg you. I'd gladly pitch in 5$ for an update. I need to move my studying laptop to FF4 because it's a weak Atom processor with a powerful GPU which will benefit from the new processing unit shift, but I refuse to pass to FF4 without your plug-in!Please keep up the good work! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3).
