Hide/Show Google left-hand menu

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This needs an update. It was working fine until a few days ago, but Google seems to have changed something again. Now there's a blank space on the left, no link to show the sidebar, no "Pages from Australia" up the top, no links to refine the search, nothing shows on the right. All I get are the search results down the middle. I had a look in IE and they seem to have moved all the controls to just above the results.

I love this, hope it gets updated for newer versions.

Thanks for the response, I've fixed it up now. I still think an option in the drop-down box would be easier for a lot of users though.

For anyone who hasn't worked it out, you go to View --> Toolbars --> Customise... then you drag the icon onto the customisation window which opens, click 'Done', then restart Firefox.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (

Would it be possible for someone to create another add-on which does the same thing? I'm sure some of the fixes given here might work, but they just aren't very user-friendly for the average user.

I've still given it 3 stars because it's very useful having the Add Bookmark dialogue automatically expanded, but it needs to be updated.
