Wait... Wait... Wait.... So you designed a "browser protect" xpi that hijacks the browser til you buy your way out of it (possibly)? Stunning.
Thought it was too good to be true... Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Totally thought this was going to be a spammy ad-ware add on that would eat my browser's brain and turn it in to a zombie. I was wrong. There are a few things that are a bit inconvienient pertainging to functionality but overall, great work. I really hope you can find some folks to help develop this further. If you could trim some of the code up a bit for efficiency's sake as well, in order to make it super snappy and use less resources, this thing would be a killer a extension. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.4.1-signed.1-signed).
Data Mining App... Rated 1 out of 5 stars
Stick to the open source downloaders. This code in this add on looks remarkably similar to the other data mining ad-ware that come and go on FF. Stay away unless they stop being deceptive about the app. I guess they will likely offer a rebuttal, so tell me this, why so many version numbers? Prove its not to hide reviews from unsuspecting users...This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.97.5).
STOP COMPLAINING Rated 5 out of 5 stars
If you are about to start complaining about how "derp, that grease munkie hunky, whosamawhatsit don't update no more?!?!?!" Take a deep breath, and then realize that these add-ons don't make themselves. Furthermore, the good add-ons are usually done by people for free. This is one of them.
Here's the deal, development has been taken up by a very nice developer-type person after it was dropped over a year ago by the previous developer. To clean up the code and connect everything properly takes time (especially when the person doing the work is donating their time, and it is not as important of a priority as... say.... Their job!?!?!?) So If you find a bug, that hasn't been filed yet, post it in the proper place. If you feel somehow entitled to having your "effing scripts effing update!" Go away, do something productive, or bring something to the conversation.
@Madmax ... "Flashing screen..." Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This add on, by it's self, does absolutely nothing... It needs another ingredient in order for it to effect your browsing experience... If your browser, screen, keyboard, webcam, or anything else is, in fact, "flashing" you may want to take a better look at whats going on in your FF installation... I digress...
As long as you stay updated and keep up on the happenings in greasemonkey and greasefire land you should be good to go. Occasionally, there will be a minor incapability that will break the functionality of a script or Mozilla will change something inside FF that causes GM to go a bit haywire but they are quick to patch or declare a permanent change in the scripting language that causes certain scripts to no longer work on their end. Just read up on the FAQ's and stay away from spammy scripts, and you can greatly increase the functionality of FF. enjoy!
I wonder why the lead dev.... Rated 5 out of 5 stars
... suddenly left with the release of v. 2.0... oop, never mind... If you guys are really going to claim that the update is for usability reasons, fork it and release the old code. prove that v2.0 is that much better than ABP without ads (The 2.0 version is supposedly "better, now with ads"). Either that or open your books and prove there wasn't a gigantic payoff to the committers and lead devs. Or option C, answer how it feels to completely sell out to the monopolies and oligopolies that advertize on the web.
Until then... Little guy loses again, or so it seems....
*edit* I rescind my skepticism and apologize.... I also thank you for allowing the ad-block lite fork (if it is in fact a fork.. I just saw it and rushed here to post)... I also thank you for allowing the fork to be distributed and developed.

I was about to implement all of this users extensions. This is something I rarely do especially when they are badged "experimental" but they all seemed useful enough and the reviews didnt seem too blatantly fake. I was so interested in checking these extensions out that I thought I would check out their homepage to see whatelse they might be developing. To my surprise, the "homepage was offering to "clean my PC" which is funny cause I dont use a pc and there was nothing personal on the site just one big ad. As I have reported this user, This review wount be around long because this user will be eliminated as soon as someone from mozilla checks up on it but I though I should warn everyone thinking of downloading....This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.8.1-signed.1-signed).

For those of you wondering how to delete this adware, Simply right-click the add-on in your list of ad ons (under tools). This site also tries to get you to download a userscript for greesemonkey or stylish... uninstall that as well make sure you check the box saying "uninstall associated preferences " as well. Then... find your firefox profile folder (and your systems') look for anything with keep, tube, keep-tube.com etc in that folder. Go to about:config and search for the same. At this point you should be asking yourself, What on earth was i doing? why is this so hard? and perhaps even, is any legit add-on/plug-in/script this hard to get rid of? I think you know the answer to all of these but hey.. if its too good to be true -or- too easy... finish the sentence.
After you are done doing that empty the trash or better yet, use the terminal to annihilate said files/folders. close your browser, reboot, and open firefox while holding down the option or alt key. At the safe mode prompt make sure add-ons are disabled and empty your caches and history . Rinse and repeat... if u find remainders of keep-tube make sure to get rid of everything. reboot again. check about:config and then go to youtube while watching your logs. if you see anything abnormal investigate it cause either you missed something or there is something else wrong with the mechanism that interacts with media and it will be worth fixing anyway. Have fun and be safe and always wear protection!!
