Thank you very much for adding the drag-to-save ability.
But please, add these features too:
1) Ability to choose the download folder (or saving to default download folder of Firefox).
2) The regulation of the sensitivity for drag'n'drop (to save images only if long dragging, and when not dragging to other programs),
or a toolbar button to enable/disable saving on drag'n'drop.
Can you add an importing (and maybe an exporting) passwords from a file, please? This necessary to import files from other profiles or old FF backups. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.7).
Add an option to show loaded tabs only and hide all unloaded tabs, please. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.9.5.9).
Can you (add an option to) change the background of folders to separate them from simple bookmarks?
You should to add an option for an url redirection to anonymity services or proxies (as the example, anonym.to, which removes referrer). Because these links are made inactive for some reason, and authors of the posts did not want to leak information about the links through referrers.
On the other hand, this option will be useful to the users of your extension.
Simple substitute found urls to %URL%:
And add an ability to change the address of service (to edit it).
Please, add a prompting to restart manually after a memory limit was exceed.
Now we have 2 options: the automatic restart (which is absolutely unexpected and bring to data loss and other problems), and, secondly: no restart at all (as the result: a user miss the moment when he should restart a browser, after that firefox can't properly save a session of tabs because no memory, or it even crashes).
So, we need some informing message when the memory limit will be exceed. And, as an option, propmt user to restart manually.
Good extension, but there is a bug: "Save Image Now" is identical to "Save Image As..."
I mean, that it shows the "Save As" dialog window too.
Please, make "Save Image Now" saving without questions (and with the auto-renaming when names are duplicate), but with the indication: is saving ok or not...
1) It was not writed backup of a lost session before I restart Firefox - so, not only the session was lost, but "bookmarks" of tabs too... So, I lost all latest tabs. May be the problem is memory leaks of Firefox, but you should alert if bookmarks was not saved.
2) There is the problem with encoding of non-english names (page titles) of bookmarks. I'm trying to change character encoding in FireFox & in IE to UTF-8, but it was not helping... We have a garbage instead of page titles in the names of bookmarks.
Is it possible to add status of uploads?
Thanks for good add-on!
Useful and stable addon, even in compare to other such extension. Can you add a possibility to "Load all" or "Load 10" without the submenu in addition, please? This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2012.01.03).
If you will save an edited page with UnMHT or MAFF extensions, these changes will be keeped in the result .mht file.
It really removes elements, not simply hides them. So, the size of the .mht file can be much smaller (as an example, if you remove large images or ads, or menu).
P.S. How to use it: press Alt key and select Tools->Web Developer->Inspect from appeared menu. Or right-click on an element and select the Inspect Element menu item.
After that you can remove elements by pressing Alt-R. To exit in the normal mode press Esc.
This "button" extension removes the standard Firefox's orange menu button.
And the new button don't hide the menu toolbar - so, there is the empty toolbar with one only button! In additional, this button can't be moved to any other toolbar to compact space.
Tested with Firefox 10.0.2
How it work? I have installed it on FF10.0.2, but I see the standard menu item "Bookmark All Tabs" ony in the menu of tabs. This always request a folder name.
But I can't found YOUR extension! You should to write a short instruction of usage of your add-on.
And... add it to the context menu of the tabbar, because the Tools menu is hidden by default in Firefox
To save pages with highlighted phrases as standard .MHT files or .MAFF/ZIP archives, use UnMHT or MAFF extensions (search here for "MHT"). These extensions can save pages with images in one file (.mht) like Internet Explorer.
Version 1.2 NOT WORKED under FireFox 3.6.23. Bookmarks always opened at the end of the tabbar. This user has a previous review of this add-on.
I think, this is newer versions of Popup Inspector 0.1
But sade, that Popup Inspector is not updated, and that the description of Element Inspector is not international.
The very good idea, but we need an ability to toggle on/off this extension globally. And the toolbar button should visually show the on/off state of the extension. After that I give you 5+ points ;-)
Update: Ok, your extension is very useful. 5 stars! :-)
Some tips for the future: the toolbar button should display the status of the extension even when there are no previous pages to control the state from any page and a state of a browser. 2nd: I don't know why, but FireFox (3.6.23) reload previous pages instead of to load they from the cache.
