Abduction! - Webpage Screenshots Screen Capture

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This version doesn't show a "Save as image ..." option any more. So no way to actually do anything with this addon. Very sad, as I used Abduction! a lot while it still worked.

Abduction! - FIXED

Dysfunctional with FF 44 on Debian Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Just like the original Abduction! addon, this "fixed" version doesn't show a "Save page as image ..." option any more. So no way to actually do anything with this addon. Very sad, as I used Abduction! a lot while it still worked.

All-in-One Sidebar

(WORKAROUND INSIDE) Version 0.7.29 broken in FF48 on Ubuntu 64 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

DON'T PANIC!

DO NOT DESPAIR!

THERE IS A WORKAROUND/FIX as stated by someone else below.
Step by step:

* Press [Alt] + [V] to see the classic menu bar.
* Open the "View" menu
* make sure the entry "Sidebar grippy" is checked [x]
* there will be a thin grey line at the right edge of AiOS. It had a dotted area in the middle with < and > arrows. Click inside this area and resize the AiOS sidebar to see and use it again.

----8<----

After FF was updated to version 48, side panel is always zero pixels wide, it's impossible to change width. Settings from the settings window don't seem to be used.

After closing the toolbar it is impossible to get it back, except when you have set the start-up setting to always show the toolbar at FF start-up. This again doesn't help with the side panel. It appears, but not at default or previous width, but always as zero pixels wide.

A fix would be nice. Thank you.

PS: I tried to report a bug via http://firefox.exxile.net/forum_new/viewforum.php?f=2 - but this page is sadly not working; reporting:

"General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]

Table 's' is marked as crashed and should be repaired [1194]

An sql error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact an administrator if this problem persists."

Clear Search 2

Sadly broken Rated 1 out of 5 stars

In Firefox 44.0.2, Xubuntu version, this plugin breaks the search field: you cannot enter anything any more. I had to uninstall. What a pitty.

Classic Theme Restorer

First impression: great!

ConfirmFolderMove

Why is this not part of the core? Great.

Restart

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Simply does the job. Good.

I like the functionality. But I dislike the weird design of the dialogue window. Please make it possible to use colours and fonts/font sizes according to current system settings. I believe, the dialogue could be redisigned to look a lot simpler.

Restartless Restart

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Installs without restart, but no entry in the File menu appears in Thunderbird 31.4.0, even after restart. Linux, German environment.

Duplicate Contact Manager

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I am still using this plugin with TB 31.4.0. It is working perfectly. I just had to increase the maxVersion in the install.rdf file inside the xpi(zip) archive to something higher than the actual version (I chose 99.*). Why is this plugin not officially compatible with current versions? I see no compatibility issues at all.

Abduction! - Webpage Screenshots Screen Capture

Good plugin, but stopped working for me with version 3.5 Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I have used this plugin for a long time. But now, needing it for the first time in quite a while, I found that the "Save page as image ..." option disappeared from the context menu in Debian's iceweasel 31.4.0 (German language). As (hopefully temporary) workaround I downgraded to 3.0.18 as has been recommended in an older rating post below.

PrefBar

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I have been using this add-on for ages with many versions of Firefox and Iceweasel. Indispensible! There may be other tools for the same task, but I will stick with PrefBar.

All-in-One Sidebar

Indispensible tool! Made surfing with Firefox much more comfortable. I use it mostly for my bookmarks and the Scrapbook add-on. It is a must-have! Thank you very much for this great add-on!

Aardvark

Still working fine with FF10/Iceweasel 10 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It is a real pitty this addon is not actively maintained anymore. But so far, it keeps working without any flaws on all Firefox/Iceweasel versions up to 10.0.3 (Iceweasel on Debian wheezy).
Does there exist any replacement that does (at least) the same as Aardvark to replace it once it stops working with a higher version of FF/IW?

Fast Dial

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Fast Dial broke after upgrade to FF 7.0.1, update to Fast Dial 3.5.1 does not fix it. 2nd time this happens to me. I think I am going to try out a different tool like Speed Dial

Does work niceley with Firefox 5.0. A very simple, but very useful little addon.

I edited the max. version entry of the install.rdf file inside the .xpi to read <em:maxVersion>5.0.*</em:maxVersion> and it works just fine with Firefox 5 on Linux
