My Reviews

Firediff

Useful Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Useful plugin. It would be neat to be able to filter only changes that were made from Firebug.

The only major problem I can see with this plugin is that it doesn't work with the built in Firefox devtools. I rarely use Firebug anymore, since having it installed and active at all makes the browser freeze up after awhile.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2.0).

Firebug

It was my favorite... may be replaced by Firefox DevTools in the future though. Rated 3 out of 5 stars

For years this was one of my favorites. Unfortunately recently, especially in the Firefox 21 beta, it often makes the browser extremely slow. With the recent improvements to the built-in Firefox inspector and debugger, it seems this could become obsolete in the near future. That would be sad, since it was a great addon for so long, and has many great plugins that can work within it.

Firepicker

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

A color picker in the inspector, great! It would be awesome if it had integrated page color picker and history of picked colors in the color picker similar to Opera browser.

Fireclam

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Nice! It would be great if it could ask if you want to remove detected virus file or not.

GNU LibreJS

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Good idea, but a bit obtrusive. The notification on the page only says "complain", without saying what js file is obfuscated, and has no easy option to un-block.

Vlc context menu

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It works well, but the right click menu-item doesn't show up for some formats.
It would be great to have it work for all the vlc supported formats:

Fireclam

Thank you Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It works! It scans files on download and reports viruses. It seems this is the only virus autoscan for Linux Firefox, since Firefox 3's auto virus scan is windows-only.

It would be great to have an option to block opening the file until it is confirmed safe, or scan on-demand using a button on the download box.

Scientific Calculator Toolbar

Awesome Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Very cool addon!
It would be great if it had some more advanced math ability, or perhaps a shortcut to click to open up Maxima or another favorite math calc. program.

Zotero

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It's great for research, but it has a few small annoying bugs. For example, if you're viewing Author as full-name, not Last, First, then when you export MLA bibliography it incorrectly gives full-name instead of the proper citation with Last, First name.

This addon is great for research organization and citation managing, but it seems you need to manually check the bibliography it generates.

dragdropupload

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I really like the concept, but there is a very annoying bug in this addon. In Linux, when I drag a file to the upload box it turns spaces to %20 and it won't work, it doesn't upload the file because that file doesn't exist. If the file path doesn't have a space in it, it works great!
