My Reviews

Go to random tab

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Great way to get through all the excessive tabs I open. Sometimes I don't know where to start.

There is nothing to replace this in FF Quantum. I hope it gets updated soon. This ext gives you complete control of your cookies, right at the tip of your fingers, nothing else like it, sorely missed. Cookies should have never been invented, it lets sites write stuff on to your computer and they are not really necessary for anything. Unfortunately some websites will not work without them. My strategy has been to allow them only when I have to and mostly make them temporary. This ext is the only thing that makes this easy to achieve.

The Middle Mouse Button

Undocumented capability solves all complaints Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Holding down the shift key restores default behavior!

At first I wrote this was a very handy for my rss reader where I can read article and then go back to the article list page, but complained that when I found myself habitually pasting some text and instead I got the page back or closed. I also noted other commentators mentioned opening a link with a middle mouse is lost too. So I went to the code to see if I could hack this to not work when it was used on inputs and links. I found out that if you hold down the shift key the default functionality of the middle mouse button will be restored. I tested and verified this! Changed rating to 5 stars!

Vertical Tabs Reloaded

Best Vertical Tab addon ever Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Been a couple of years at least since I got off vertical tabs. Revisiting the concept, there is now this new addon. This is the best Vertical Tab addon ever! Up until now no one has been able to do it right. Only very minor quibble is pinned tabs have text labels.

Side Tabs

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

5 Stars for a no cruft extension that just simply puts tabs on the side. But 1 star because it adds its own styling. Styling should be done via themes. This blue bg and font is quite hideous btw. Averages to a 3 rating. I wrote a user script to restore the default look. Its at It also, unlike side tabs, handles pinned tabs.

A much better tool to find what you are looking for than the live http headers ext.

Side Tabs

Thank you for keeping it simple! Why do so many extension developers give you a zillion options when you want to one simple thing. I just want my tabs on the side, not nested, grouped, styled etc... That is why I switched from tree-style-tabs to this.
Minor quibble: My pinned tabs no longer are mini icon only tabs, but regular styled tabs.

Thank you for your fantastic addon! tIf you want to open gspace in its own window and run it as a standalone app use this command:

firefox -chrome chrome://gspace/content/gspaceWindow.xul (this is for linux)
