I depend on Live Gold to keep me abreast of metal prices. Unfortunately, it is broken in the latest Aurora update. The Live Gold toolbar works fine but the status bar icon will not allow itself to be placed in either the status bar (courtesy of the status-4-evar add-on) or in any other toolbar. In fact, in an attempt to put it on the status bar, I have lost the icon behind the customization page and can't retrieve it. Please help!
Update 08Mar2014: Mr. Chu contacted me by email today and said he would look into the problem. Really, the only thing wrong with this add-on is the button. Hopefully, it won't be a difficult fix.
Aurora update 29.0a2 (2014-02-10) has broken Status-4-Evar. Everything that was in the status bar is now lumped into an immovable bar at the top of the screen with the URL window.
Please fix - I need this add-on!
This add-on has been having problems with displaying certain of the FF status bar icons since FF Aurora 16 (I think).
This is a one-of-a-kind extension that has long been abandoned and I wish that someone would pick up the code and start supporting it again. I am a big status bar person and I rely heavily on this extension to make sure that my status bar icons and buttons behave themselves. Somebody get a hold of this Y5 character and get him to give it up!
For folks who want to keep an eye on metal prices, this application is great. It is very unobtrusive and sits among your toolbars or in your status bar. You can instantly see the market fluctuation over 1 day, 1 or 2 months or an entire year. I only have 2 problems with the app. First, there's an occasional problem with the price refresh - every now and then, 1 or 2 of the indicators won't be able to contact the server. The problem is always immediately resolved with a right-click manual refresh. The other problem is, besides the Firefox add-on site, there's no place to report a bug. Other than that, I highly recommend this app. This user has other reviews of this add-on.
I have tried all 3 IE emulators: IE Tab v2+, IE Tab Plus v1.2+ and this add-on, IE Tab 2 v4.1+. This is the best by far. In FF 13, IE Tab Plus and IE Tab 2 both bring up explorer tabs but only IE Tab 2 is recognized as an Internet Explorer browser by websites like fafsa.gov, which ONLY codes for IE. IE Tab doesn't work at all in FF 13.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (184.108.40.206).
I was a big BlackX fan but I had to seek another theme after support lagged. Thank you, ZigBoom for all the themes you've created but especially for the BlackFox theme. Gorgeous! Very clean and mixes well with the Toolbar Buttons add-on, although I would like to see some of the more common buttons, like Print Preview, "BlackFoxed". I've mentioned that to you before, though - it's definitely not a deal-breaker, just a tiny detail that would make the theme a little bit nicer. Keep up your most excellent work! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3.3).
Thanks - this was just what I was looking for. However, the status text bar does not show the URLs for links on the Add-Ons Manager page. Plz2Fix?This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2011.01.17.02.4).
App looks good - performs wonderfully. Would it be possible to add a combination graph - that is, a graph displaying two or more metals on the same graph? It might be useful to display visually when one metal is gaining or losing against another. An example can be found at http://www.goldseek.com/quotes/charts/goldsilverratio/goldsilverratio1hour.phpThis review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.20100816).
Love the way it saves tons of space on the tab bar. One item, though - I tried to auto-Faviconize the about:blank page and it doesn't quite work. It works on the first tab, but not multiple blank tabs. Might want to take a look at it.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.1).
On the plus side, it creates a PDF quickly and does so right on the client without using a web service - very nice. On the minus side, it doesn't use the CSS for printing a web page, so page print can be cut in half when saving as PDF using the split PDF pages option. I'm going to disable this add-on for now, until this problem is addressed.
Can't find how to report a bug on the aniweather page. Status button popups fail to pop up when the webpage is blank. Otherwise, a nice app. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.7.4).
I have loved this extension since I came across it a year or so ago. Thanks for the update. There is a problem, at least on my browser. When the last tab is closed and "Do not close the window when closing the last tab" option is chosen, the tab name displays "Untitled" correctly, but the URL remains in the browser address window and the page is not made blank. A minor annoyance and one which is quickly fixed by clicking on the tab, but it kind of defeats the purpose, as far as the last tab is concerned. Just thought you ought to know - hope you can fix it.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.3.8).
Problem with V3.5. The default behavior now closes Firefox when closing the last tab, instead of bringing up a new blank tab like before. I really like this add-on - it fixes an annoying problem. Please fix this. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.3.7.1b2).
My favorite theme! Please make this compatible with Firefox 3.5!This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.9).
Small, sharp, simple, out of the way, not ostentatious, great animation and works with the "Fancy Numbered Tags" add-on. Unless you're nearsighted, what more would you want? This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.7).
