Active Stop Button

Nice little addon but could be better Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Nice little addon. But it misses a few things:
(1) Right click to stop all buttons isn't intuitive because right click is usually for menu. I prefer Ctrl + Left click or Shift + Left click, which is consistent to how reload button works.
(2) It would be nice to have a new tooltip to remind the extra function added to the Stop button.

I have hacked the code to add the above functions too for my friends and me. If you find the above functions useful for you too, you may download this hacked addon:

To developer, feel free to implement my codes into your existing addon. Thank you for your work. :-)

@ Reverse Quick, it works fine in Firefox 3.5.1. "Customize" toolbar function is also working. Perhaps there are some conflicts on your Firefox.

Weak function and poor interface. Better alternatives elsewhere Rated 1 out of 5 stars

It only let you to put in minutes only not seconds. It doesn't display the process of the countdown timer. It only alert you when the time is up. Use better alternatives instead:
Tea Timer (same name but somehow different):

Poor in usability and doesn't remember settings Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Too bad it doesn't allow multiple countdown clocks or remember the settings, so you have to re-configure every time you want to run a countdown. A bad design!

Better alternatives exist:

Auto Timer

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

It's a nice timer but I have one major complaint. The prompt after the countdown is expired is hardly noticeable. I want it to pop up a dialog or anything similar when the countdown ends. I'm not expected to watch at the countdown closely to know when it's end. Showing the small icon only beside the timer is hardly useful.

It would be nice to have a faster way to change the countdown value.

A limitation: Hour in countdown is limited to 1-30. You can't go higher than 30 hours.

Stable and fantastic! It completes what Stylish has left behind! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It completes what Stylish has left behind:
* New Stylish 1.0.x removed a handful of good features which the developer doesn't bother to add back. Stylish-custom did.
* New Stylish 1.0.x is missing features that are frequently requested but the developer refuses to add. Stylish-custom did.

This is a Stylish power pack that many people will find it beneficial. You should definitely install it especially if you write or test styles a lot.

Don't scare away simply it says it's experimental. It's very stable to me.

ChoGGi is very active and responsive to people requests. You requested it on day one. He implemented it on day one (yes! It's the same day!). He will even add features which are not commonly requested.
I would have gave it 10 stars if the site allows me to.
He had saved me tons of hours. My savior!

Copy and Go

Okay but something better and faster is available Rated 1 out of 5 stars

It's okay but there is something better. Linkification: .

It can automatically convert text links into real links, whose method is better than "Copy and Go".

Adblock Filterset.G Updater

A duplicate of built-in subscription feature in Adblock Plus. Use other ads filter list and you can dump this addon Rated 1 out of 5 stars

It may be useful in the past but not anymore.

Now it is a redundant addon since Adblock Plus has the built-in subscription already. Unfortunately the author of Filterset.G filter list refuses to use the built-in ones. Therefore you only need this addon if you want to use Filterset.G filter list.

However this list is not optimized for use with Adblock Plus. The list uses so many complex regex and excessive exclusion rules which will slow down Adblock Plus. Also it doesn't block ads and keep it up-to-date. There are many better filter lists offered at the official Adblock Plus website at
, so we don't need Filterset.G filter list anymore.

As a reference, you may read this post: . The author of Adblock Plus discourage us from using Filterset.g too. The pointed out several reasons why we shouldn't use it.

Quote from (2007 Sep 21):
* Filterset.G has been intentionally made incompatible with the built-in subscriptions feature in Adblock Plus, updating Filterset.G requires a separate extension which basically duplicates existing functionality.
* Filterset.G is not optimized for use with Adblock Plus, it will slow down your browsing considerably more than any other filter list.
* Filterset.G makes heavy use of very complicated regular expressions with the consequence that finding the source of problems is difficult and fixing those problems is even more so. In fact, Filterset.G is fixing most problems with exception rules which creates a problem on its own (see next point).
* Filterset.G contains a considerable number of exception rules. This is a big problem because exception rules cannot be overridden. It happened on several occasions that exception rules from Filterset.G whitelisted actual ads making these ads unblockable — something users usually blamed Adblock Plus for.

It's time to forget this addon and Filterset.G!! Start now and pick your favorite filter lists over and enjoy no-ad surfing :)

Good but could be better Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Works as advertised. You can control where it opens when you submit form or click on a button (open in current window, new tab or new window).

It annoys me when I can't middle click on button (the browser doesn't understand it). You may middle click on form submission button which is very handy to us.

However this tool misses one function which can normally do when it is a link:
- Hover to reveal link: When you hover the button (link), the statusbar should be able to display where we are going to send the data to. It's useful to detect when the website is doing something suspicious (and other potential uses too ;P). We can't do it for buttons/forms

PS: As a sidenote, a number of keyboard shortcuts for opening things in tabs do not work with forms. Specifically, Ctrl+Enter, Shift+Enter and Alt+Enter do not work. After all I can "middle click" and "right click" to do the same job anyway. It is good enough to me.

Restart Firefox

Works but with some glitches Rated 2 out of 5 stars

There are 2 problems with this addon.

1) Restart icon mess-up
The icon is messed up when you go to "Customize Toolbars" dialog.
Quoted from another user:
When you go to the "customize toolbar" dialog box, the icon for the "Restart Firefox" extension is messed up. Here is a screenshot of the screen:

When you drag that huge image to the toolbar it is fine though:

2) Partial session restore
It only offer partial restoration. It only restores tabs of the current window. If you have more than 1 window opened, other windows will be lost. It's not the true restart that Firefox does (which will restore all tabs and windows).

It appears "Restarter" at is better than this one since it uses Firefox 2 own sessions restoration system to reopen all tabs and windows.

No Go Buttons

Works okay but with some bugs; have better alternatives Rated 3 out of 5 stars

It works as advertised but have several limitations and problems:
- As said in the main page, the search button comes back if you "Customise Toolbars". It does go away again on the next restart and for new windows, though.
- There is a bug which seems to occur after you hide the Go buttons. Sometimes you no longer able to press "Enter" to go after you customise toolbars.

There is a better alternative which can solve the above limitations/problems. Use Stylish. It is an addon which let you to write simple script to customize your browser and website you visited. You can toggle the script on/off with one click. Change is made on the fly. Plus it doesn't have the problems stated above.

Create a new script and copy and paste the following codes:
/* Hide Go button & its pile next to search bar */
#searchbar .search-go-button-stack {display: none !important;}

/* [Optional] Add some space at the end of the search bar after the button is hidden */
#searchbar {margin-right: 3px !important;}

/* Hide Go button & its pile next to address bar */
#go-button-stack { display: none ; }

IE View Lite

IE View Lite doesn't contain the same feautres offered by IE View Rated 4 out of 5 stars

"...All the same UI and features are there."

[If an admin reads this message, please remove my previous review. This is the updated one]

IE View Lite is very lite. However the above statement is false. Not all features offered in IE View (the original version created by Paul Roub) are available in IE View Lite. Two features are missing:
- options to check a site as "Always view this page in IE" under Tools menu
- Disable "alway view this page" feature (so you may temporary switch it off and view with Firefox without removing the URL)

But it supports using words or only part of URL in the "Always View in IE" list (so all URL which contain the words or the part will be launched in IE). IE View can't.

I'm using:
- IE View Lite 1.3.1 &
- IE View 1.3.3

Copy Link Text

Works as advertised but there are better alternatives Rated 2 out of 5 stars

1) This is a nice little addon which can copy text from link via context menu. However there is another addon called CoLT - - which can do more and allow full customization.
2) CoLT has "Copy Link Text" (that this addon has), and "Copy Link Text and Location". Also you can customize how it is copied - copied as HTML, BBCode, Wikipedia style, plain text, or even a custom format which you specify.
3) Overall this addon is nice, but CoLT is much nicer. I recommend CoLT over this one.

Pretty pointless VirusTotal dialog; you'd better use something else Not yet rated

1) Its description is not clear. Basically it only adds a dialog which emulate the upper part of the VirusTotal page (old style). The shortcut is available via "Tools | VirusTotal".
2) The options are all broken in the dialog, that is "Do not distribute the sample" and "Send it over SSL".
3) Unlike Dr.Web anti-virus link checker, it CANNOT even send web file link for virus scan, or it may be of some uses.
4) That extension only supporting sending files from your computer. But doing it via dialog is not efficient. It is no difference from what you do from its official homepage. If you want a fast way to upload your files, try VirusTotal Uploader - - which is made by the official site. You just right click on the file in your computer and select "send to VirusTotal". Quick and efficient.
5) Overall this extension is pretty pointless.
