Doesn't work Rated 2 out of 5 stars
For those of you who don't see the Question mark ... you can try the following:
In the address bar type:
This should give you internal config page for permissions.
It didnt work in my case, I even tried to remove it and add it again.
Every time I tried to add the note, it asks me again to give the addon permission to store the notes... Even though it's already listed in the permission config tab.
Running Mac, and FF 9.
Maybe FF 10 would work, but I don't want to bother testing unless somebody and confirm it's actually working on FF10 on OSX with the above hacks.
Seems extension no longer maintained - causes Enter not working Rated 2 out of 5 stars
Seems extension is no longer maintained. Did work previously. Now with FF 15 there are two major problems:
1. connecting ...
As other users reported already.
2. Enter not working in Address bar.
This extension causes ENTER key not working at all. After entering anything (URL, search expression etc) and hitting enter nothing happens. Even the arrow button in the address bar won't work. It took me a while to figure out this one.
How to get Speedial working on latest version of Firefox (15 Beta) Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I've seen a few people asking how to get the Speedial working again. Here are instructions how to do it:
Firefox introduced new feature called Top Sites. It is probably a 1st version of this and I hope this will be updated later on to allow more flexibility. Right now this feature interferes with Speed Dial.
To get it working:
1. go to "about:config"
2. go to browser.newtab.url
3. you can change the "about:newtab" to "about:blank" or "about:home" or... that's what we want.. change it to do SpeedDial local custom page which is "chrome://speeddial/content/speeddial.xul"
4. Now it should work again.
Actually I find TopSites to be well implemented but for someone who is accustomed to flexibility it won't replace SpeedDial.
Plus there is another added benefit right now. I have 3 computers and I synchronize (Sugarsync) the SpeedDial settings file SDBackups with all 3 computer (macs and pc) and I get all of them display same speed dial (I have to do import export in Speedial but other than that it works).
I suspect TopSites will be included in Firefox Sync so I may take a look at it again. Right now TopSites is not flexible enough.
Not working - the permission box never pops up. Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Unfortunately not working. The small dialogue box *permission to store data* never pops up. The screen goes translucent dark, help tip in the middle pops up but the permission dialogue never appears. It did pop up 1st time, I click "yes, allow" but nothing happened afterwards. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.4). This user has other reviews of this add-on.

Fantastic. Finally. Better than Zindus. Rated 5 out of 5 stars
FANTASTIC !!!!! Thank you for creating this great application. This is what I was waiting for. Zindus only allows sync with 1 account and 1 address book. This is great. On top of that I like the fact the application creates the new addressbooks for you automatically (and it leaves the default address book alone, unlike Zindus...). Thank you. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.6.34).
