Print pages to Pdf

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Great add-on. Works exactly as described. The really useful feature is that I can print _multiple_ web pages into a single PDF. I can't install software (like PDF Forge) on my work computer, so this is really handy to collect a bunch of pages into a single document.

Any chance of making a similar extension for Chrome? All the extensions in the Chrome web store just convert a single web page (the current web page) into PDF.

Custom Tab Width

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This extension does not work on Firefox 14.0.1. The options are set to a minimum width of 1 and a max width of 10. If you change these, they switch back to the original values, and the extension does nothing, i.e., the tab width behaviour stays the same, with tabs scrolling off to the right, instead of shrinking in size.

This used to be so easy with a couple of parameters set in about:config. Then some genius at Mozilla decided that this feature was not required by users. I hate tabs scrolling off to the side.

Please, someone, give us a way of shrinking tab widths, instead of scrolling.

There used to be a similar add-on that the developer stopped supporting (since FF4). I have really missed it.

When reading a web page, I often want to look up something in Wikipedia, _without_ interrupting the flow of what I'm currently reading, i.e., I want the look-up to happen in the _background_, so I can read the wp article at a later stage.

There are a number of add-ons that look up Wikipedia, but none of them (as far as I know) do it in a background tab. All the others I have tried interrupt (visually) the page you are currently reading.

Thanks for this. Hope you keep it updated to be compatible with future releases of Firefox.

British English Dictionary

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I like this add-on since it does spell-check using English (as opposed to American). Unfortunately, it is not comprehensive, and is missing some basic words. I've been irritated by this a few times, but when it squiggly-underlined "movie" and "movies", that really annoyed me. Really? You reckon "movie" is not an English word?

Evernote Web Clipper

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

As usual Evernote Corp is the last to update their extension for Firefox 6 (at least, last of the approximately 30 extensions I use). They still do not have a version compatible with FF6. I do not want to install beta versions (or worse, experimental versions). Come on, Evernote, there are a lot of extension developers out there who are a lot smaller than you, but who manage to keep their extensions compatible with the (new and improved super-fast) Firefox release cycle.

Rainbow Color Tools

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Great tool. Just found out about it. Replaced ColorZilla, since this has more (useful) features. Especially like the web site analyser. Would be slightly more user friendly, if the colour speification were copied to the clipboard immediately on click, instead of forcing another click on the "Copy" button.

Because of the redesign of the layout in FF4, the status bar is pretty much unnecessary now. I have moved the icons for all my add-ons to a single toolbar at the top along with the bookmarks.

Unfortunately, this add-on does not have an option to show its icon in a toolbar, i.e., there is no icon available to drag on to a toolabr. The only option is to show or not show in the status bar. Which means I need to keep the status bar visible just for this one add-on. Please allow this icon to be dragged onto a toolbar.

Love the functionality.

gTask Sidebar

Any idea how to get this work with Google Apps. I saw a review which talked about editing run.xul. But there is no such file. Would be useful if this add-on had this option. Without it, it's of limited used to me.

Looks like this add-on is going nowhere. Instead of mucking about trying to hack the XPI file, you might has well just use BossKey, which works well.
