My Reviews

samfind Bookmarks Bar

Love This Extension Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This has got to be one of my favorite Firefox extensions. I don't know how I would get along without it. I use it regularly on all three of my computers, two PCs and a Mac. Very slick and very useful.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.1).  This user has a previous review of this add-on.

Love this extension. Have been using it for years on Firefox, Thunderbird & SeaMonkey, on multiple machines. However, version 6.0.3.4 doesn't work on SeaMonkey Beta 2. It worked on Beta 1, but isn't compatible with the latest SeaMonkey release. Hope to see that addressed. Thanks!

Update Notifier

Update for Thunderbird please! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Matt:

Update Notifier has long been listed among Thunderbird add-ons. I've been using it with Thunderbird for years. However, it does not work with the latest Beta 3 release. It works with Beta 2, but not 3. I would dearly love to see it updated to work with the latest edition.

It's Fixed! Thanks! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I really like this add-on. It significantly enhances review of search results.

In 3.0, the options window was so large I couldn't get to the bottom of it to submit changes. However, that's fixed in 3.1, which is, at this writing, still in the sandbox awaiting approval. (You can still download it, but you have to sign in first).

Good job by a very responsive developer. Quick and effective fix.

For now, it gets one star. Fix the options window and I'll upgrade that substantially.

Love it! Terrific functionality.

I've customized both my topics and the websites listed under those topics, and am using icons only. Titles appear on mouseover.

Two suggestions for fine-tuning:

I'd like to see it take a bit less vertical real estate. Also, I would prefer to be able to customize out some or all of the initial set — Digg, Facebook, StumbleOn, etc., to leave more room for my add-ons.

This is an extremely slick and useful add-on. I highly recommend it.

I love this extension, but contrary to the billing, it is not compatible with 3.1 beta 1, at least not on my 10.4 Mac. It might be on a PC. Just warning you.
