Diigo Toolbar - Annotate, Screenshot, Bookmark

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Adverts have been removed in the latest update, so many thanks for that - I'd update my old review if I could, but figure a more recent, 5 star review will at least go some way to balancing things out.

Thank you Diigo!

Diigo Toolbar - Annotate, Screenshot, Bookmark

"No adware or spamware!" - blatant lies Rated 1 out of 5 stars

It says on their homepage (http://www.diigo.com/tools/toolbar) that this has no adware or spyware, yet the latest version means every single time I go onto Google I get a very annoying, very obtrusive set of adverts, that are certainly caused by this extension (the element's ID has the word diigo in, and disabling the extension means the adverts go away)

I'd recommend you avoid this extension until they resolve this. Going to check out delicious as an alternative, because this is REALLY poor form imo.

Evernote Web Clipper

Add-on does not save... Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I love Evernote, but unfortunately this web clipper just doesn't work for me at all. I'm logged on just fine, and no matter what I try to save (selection, URL, full page etc) it will not appear in my Evernote notes list.

Means I need to use that ugly ass 'Clip to Evernote' bookmarklet instead, so unfortunately, I have no choice but to give this add-on 1 star - would be very happy to revise this if the add-on is fixed!

Firebug

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Seems to be actually getting worse with each update, unfortunately.

It's a bit of a shame since none of the versions I was comfortable using are compatible with Firefox 3.

My biggest gripe would be how they've seemingly made it a lot harder to disable/enable (especially annoying since this version seems to crash the browser a lot) and it seems to popup on every single Javascript error, which is incredibly irritating on sites I'm just browsing and have no control over.

Given it three stars, it used to be my favourite extension by far, but now it's just an irriating mess.

Hope it gets fixed soon.
