Google search link fix

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Excellent! My only wish is that it'd work with Google image searches, too.

Download Manager (S3)

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is fabulous. It does exactly what it's supposed to do. What's especially impressive is that the developer looks like he's about 15 years old. He must be a genius.

Cleanest Addon Manager

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This extension is a beautiful thing. If you're already familiar with the way add-ons work in Firefox, you'll really appreciate how this extension streamlines your add-on lists—especially if you're like me, and have 20 or 30 of them installed. (Hey, they're so great, it's hard to stop!)

YouTube High Definition

This is awesome Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is awesome. It does exactly what it says it does. Anyone who uses YouTube will find this very useful.

I found it especially useful because, for some reason, YouTube's resolution menu wouldn't stay open for me. When I clicked the "gear" icon, the menu appeared for just a moment, then disappeared. With this plugin, I was able to choose the resolutions and player sizes I wanted, and didn't have to bother with YouTube's buggy controls at all. Thank you!

QuickWiki

Sorry—my mistake! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Sorry!! I confused this with another add-on. Somebody please delete the "report" I posted earlier, which was a mistake! Thanks!

QuickWiki

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I know we're not supposed to post bug reports here, but I can't find any support links for this add-on, and I thought it was important to post this show-stopping problem in case the author sees it.
QuickWiki worked fine till I upgraded to FF 32.0. Now, when I try to use it, I see:
An error occurred saving the page. API-ERror: mustposttoken
The author is welcome to delete this "review" as soon as he knows about the bug. I hope he can fix this, because QW is terrifically useful!

BlackFox V2-Blue

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Awesome theme! Very stylish. And unlike most dark themes, it doesn't use dark-on-dark tab labels (maddening!), but light text on dark, which you can actually read... Great work!

Awesome Screenshot Plus - Capture, Annotate & More

Great, but missing a couple of important things... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This is very well done, but it's missing a couple of standard screenshot options:

• The ability to copy the screenshot to the system clipboard rather than having to save it as a file.

• The ability to specify the saved image's filename format. (It currently uses the page's entire title, so you can get crazy long filenames like "Awesome Screenshot Plus - Capture, Annotate & More -- Add-ons for Firefox 2014-04-11 14-37-09.png")

If these were added, I could recommend this add-on without reservations.

Nav Bar on Title Bar

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've already posted a one-line review of this great plug-in, but I wanted to add an important note:

If Nav Bar On Top (NBOT) doesn't perform the way you expected, it may just be an issue with the theme/persona you're using. (For example, when I used a certain theme, activated NBOT, then switched to Full Screen view, my FF window disappeared. When I restarted and used another theme, everything was fine.)

Theme authors do the best they can, and we really appreciate their efforts—but sometimes they don't anticipate all the changes that can occur to FF's graphics. It's not this plug-in's fault; it does what it's supposed to do. Cheers, A.

Nav Bar on Title Bar

Works great! What a space-saver on smaller displays.

WikiSearch

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It's simple and does what it's supposed to do: It adds a "Search Wikipedia" command to FF's context menu that opens a new tab with the Wikipedia article (if it exists) for the highlighted text.

I just wish it showed the results in a foreground tab, or at least had that as an option. Presumably, if you want to look something up, you also want to see it. :?|

QuickWikiEditor

A great idea, and a very useful add-on! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

A real time-saver for people who make minor Wikipedia edits. Once you've selected some text in a Wikipedia article, just press Ctrl+E (Windows, Linux) or Command+E (Mac) and a small editor window appears with that text. Make your edit, click OK, and your change immediately appears in the article. Great!

Note: In the extension's Options, the (changeable) key combination appears as "accel-e". The developer explains why, below.

Download Manager (S3)

Works great! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

(Wow, I've never posted a review on a Czech webpage...)

Thanks very much for this update. It was quite annoying having to use FF's awkward Downloads window again, when the original Download Statusbar (and D.S. "Fixed") failed to work with FF 26.

Vážíme si vaší dobré práci!

Hand Drawn Icons

It's working fine (FF 24.0)... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

HDI 2.0.1 works fine with Firefox 24, which I've just installed. If you add the Nightly Tester Tools extension, it lets you enable themes that haven't been officially tested for each new FF version. Despite all the incompatibility warnings that have appeared, I haven't had ANY problems HDI. I think the FF team just prefers to stay on the cautious side. ;?)

Thanks again for this beautiful theme!

Add-on Compatibility Reporter

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I use this extension with the Nightly Tester Tools extension, which prevents FF from automatically disabling add-ons that haven't yet been officially "approved" for each new FF version. With rare exceptions, most add-ons work just fine from one FF version to another. Consequently, I use this extension not to report problems, but to report that add-ons that'd otherwise be disabled are OK.Of course, you can't test add-ons if you can't enable them---and I don't think everyone knows about the NTT extension. So how about adding a similar feature to ACR, to let people to override FF's automatic disabling? Then you could change the button it adds from "Report Issue" to "Report OK/Not OK", or something like that. Then it wouldn't be so odd, clicking "Report Issue" to report there are no issues. :?)

P.S., to the last reviewer: ACR does check themes's compatibility, at least on my system (FF v24.0). I just submitted "OK" reports for two of them.

CacheViewer Continued

Where is it?? Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I don't understand. I installed this in FF 22, but it doesn't appear anywhere---not on the tools menu, in the context menus, or anywhere else I can find. And neither its page here nor its website gives any clues on how to access it once it's installed... Is it some kind of joke?

Image Resizer/Scaler

Great, with exceptions Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is a great idea and a well-written plugin. I was disappointed, though, to find that it didn't seem to work with pop-up images within pages (for example, the table photos at pinsimdb.org).

To developer (below): Thanks for your reply. I've changed my rating from 4 to 5 stars, as obviously you can't anticipate every coding instance. Keep up the great work.

resumeLater

BRILLIANT! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Wow! My son and I always have a bunch of YouTube videos open in various tabs, and seldom have time to watch any of them completely. Whenever we had to close FF, we'd have to record our viewing positions in a textfile so we could return to them later.

ResumeLater makes all that unnecessary. Thanks very much for this nice add-on!

Find Toolbar Tweaks

Great--with one suggestion Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This would be even more useful if it also let you set the color of the Find box's text and background.

For some inexplicable reason, some themes change these colors so that when the typed text isn't found, the box either turns an annoyingly bright "warning" color (e.g. red), or the text disappears entirely (becomes nearly the same as the background color). Wouldn't it be great if this take-charge add-on coud fix that?

Excellent... Very elegant and professional-looking. Way to go!
