keyword.URL Hack!

Works as intended, but doesn't work for new tab searches Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It's better than the default behavior, but it doesn't work when you drag selected text into the tab strip (which opens it in a new tab as a search with the url search engine).

Please fix this for full consistency.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.3.0).

InlineDisposition

Works flawlessly, and is a must have for people with brains Rated 5 out of 5 stars

If you know how to download something when you want to download something and you don't need the server telling you (forcing you) whether you should download something or open it with a browser, then you need this extension.

For years I've been bothered by sites that force me to choose which application to open their links with, because Firefox can't remember my choice if the server forces download, rather than open. This happens to images too, which is unbelievably bad.

NO FREAKING MORE!!!!

Feedly - Beyond Google Reader

Easy to use and complete Rated 5 out of 5 stars

And pretty too!

New tab toolbar button

If you don't like this extension Rated 2 out of 5 stars

1) put the new tab button somewhere else (as in not in the tab strip) by going into Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout... and then dragging it out of the tab strip;
2) go into your profile folder (Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information > Open containing folder)
3) open the folder called chrome (if there isn't one, create it)
4) open the file userchrome.css (if there isn't one, create it or rename the existing userchrome-example.css)
5) if you created the file from scratch, paste this code:
@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); .tabs-newtab-button { visibility: visible !important; width: 30px!important; -moz-border-image: url("chrome://browser/skin/tabbrowser/tab.png") 2 3 0 3 / 2px 3px 0px 3px repeat stretch !important;
if not, simply add this at its end:
.tabs-newtab-button { visibility: visible !important; width: 30px!important; -moz-border-image: url("chrome://browser/skin/tabbrowser/tab.png") 2 3 0 3 / 2px 3px 0px 3px repeat stretch !important;
6) restart Firefox.

This is better because the button will look like it should look and it won't screw your layout up when you do stuff with Firefox, as this extension does.

Alternatively you can simply create this style with the "Stylish" extension (you need to install it first):
@namespace url(http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul);
.tabs-newtab-button { visibility: visible !important; width: 30px!important; -moz-border-image: url("chrome://browser/skin/tabbrowser/tab.png") 2 3 0 3 / 2px 3px 0px 3px repeat stretch !important; }

Hope it helps.

HashColouredTabs+

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Can't we have a prettier icon? This extension is really nice, but I think the icon is too ugly. Make it just a tad shinier, a nice dregrade... What's you say?

Props for making it compatible though. Nice job.

I tried to mess around with the source code, but the code for the coloring is way to complex for my poor skills... Like, hexawhat? What's that? o_O

Remove New Tab Button

UNNEEDED Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Go into Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout... and simply drag the new tab button out of the tabstrip and into the palette that appears. You totally don't need this extension, and if you're moaning about how awful Firefox 4 is because you think you need this extension, then please read this comment again!!!

Sheesh...

New tab toolbar button

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Does what it says it does, but it has a couple of problems.

- the button doesn't have the same styling as Firefox 4's new tab button, which is easily fixable and should be fixed;
- the button is larger than it should be so when you bookmark something by clicking the start twice, the whole toolbar gets stretched to accommodate the unexpected large size of the button, so that's a bit terrible. It's also easy to fix and it should be fixed.

Anti-Aliasing Tuner

Fantastic for my eyes Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It's awesome.

CS Lite

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Doesn't work at all with Firefox 4. Dude, don't just update the compatibility sheet. You need to rework on this or drop it altogether.

Display Window Title

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

If it would be possible to remove "Minefield" or "Mozilla Firefox" from the title, that would be great. It's redundant with the Firefox Menu. There's a reason it says Monefield or Firefox there, you know? It's just that you know what the window is without having to look at it, which doesn't happen on bad software that doesn't respect system settings.

BarTab

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is such a fantastic add-on! Totally for advanced users who go into the options menu immediately after they install things, but it's such a fantastic add-on! You can customize what to load and what not to load (or to unload), it's just awesome!

Google Translate ANY to GR

Asking for a donation on a search add-on that requires like 5 minutes to make? What joke is this?!

Greasemonkey

At ssmom Rated 5 out of 5 stars

First off, this extensions is great. Incredibly useful.

Now, in reply to ssmom, I take it you mean you're using Mozilla 2.0.4, and not 3.0.4 (I wasn't even aware there was a 2.0 version!). Greasemonkey is not supported for Mozilla, it only works on Firefox, so I suggest you download Firefox 3.6 to use it.

Omnibar

Single Most Terrible Idea Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This is the single, most terrible idea ever in the history of browser design.

Hands down. Even Opera's advert banners were a brighter idea!

I have nothing against this addon in particular, just against the notion it implements: where can I drag and drop any selected text into a search engine of my choice? Where?!

This issue alone totally kills all non-search bar browsers. No chance.

Strata Home Tab

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I had the impression that what they meant for Firefox 4's home button was for it to be work like an ever present faviconized home tab, rather than an out of place home button...

Because this way it doesn't make much sense...

Strata40

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

The latest version completely breaks my Firefox. I don't know why, and I don't wanna know why. It's an awesome theme, but I'll be sticking to the February version, no doubt about that.

Locationbar²

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I guess I've already reviewed this, but it's never enough. This is possibly the single most awesomest extension ever, something that SHOULD be included in the default browser as an unique selling point.

App Tabs

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Missing auto AppTabbing like FaviconizeTab has. No real reason to use this while we have FaviconizeTab. Still, clean and neat extension.

Image Zoom
