My Reviews

IE View

NO LONGER RECOMMENDED Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This used to be a decent Firefox add-in. Recently, they started including advertising junk from superfish.com, and now includes marketing links, (there is even a tab on the configuration to turn on more marketing/tracking).

ODP Magic..

Somewhat broken, never the less, is useful and has potential for me. Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I don't know what is wrong with this extension, but it keeps telling me that it needs to download fresh files, every time Firefox starts. If the underlying data is what's changing, seems to me it could be transparent in the background.

Default Passwords - CIRT.net

Search extension *is* there, and works well Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is a search extension that goes in my pen test toolkit. a great tool for password tests.
It is not an add-on. The XML source can be found at {YourProfile}\searchplugins\default-passwords---cirtnet.xml.

KeeFox

One of my "Required" Add-Ons Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Great add-on to fully enable the KeePass Password Safe. http://keepass.info/index.html
Whenever I set up a Firefox profile, this is one of my standard add-ons. 'Nuff said.
The user community needs to do its part to get the documentation up to snuff so I can set this to 5 stars instead of 4 stars. Come on, guys, FOSS only works if we all do our part.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.8.20.1-signed).

OpenDNS Domain Tagging Assistant

I miss this extension for 5.0 Rated 4 out of 5 stars

OpenDNS is crucial to my peace-of-mind while browsing. The extension provided a simple, easy way to check and tag web sites.
It still worked under most, if not all the 4.0 betas and production builds. It would be wonderful if it worked under 5.0/

JSView

needs updates Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Great under 3.6.xx, needs update for 4.0 beta.
The website listed for the developer is currently PARKED.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.5).

DownForEveryoneOrJustMe

Easy access to one of my essentials Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This search engine implementation of DownForEveryoneOrJustMe is one of my essentials. As I tool around the interwebs, doing research or just for the heqq of it, I find interesting references. When my DNS provider, OpenDNS, says the site is not available, it is generally not. this extension is my easy double check.
