Often, when I click on the "download" in my Firefox I do not see as an option "MP4 720p (HD) even though I know the video is in high definition. I have found, then, that, if I go back to my Youtube search results page and click on the link and then hit "download" again, it will show up that time. Sometimes, it takes me more than two tries. Any ideas?This review is for a previous version of the add-on (6.7).
This is a fine add-on. I wish there was an extension for Chrome like this -- that works on most web pages.
In combination with Personas or Themes, the following is useful to change the color of your bookmarks sidebar and bookmarks
Edite your userChrome.css by adding
/* only needed once */ #bookmarks-view treechildren
The 222,218,210 is something you can change depending upon what color you want as a background to your bookmarks.
See, www.tayloredmktg.com/rgb which has a chart of different colors with their three numbers (rgb code).
I have been using AnyColor in FF4, but you need to disable the compatibility check
or use the Nightly Tester Tools add-on and use the option there to Force Addon Capatibility. The only issue then that I have found is that every time you start Firefox, in addition to your home page, you get a welcome to Anycolor in another tab.
For those of you who do not like the new Google favicon you can use the one that I uploaded at:
http://drop.io/googlerainbowicon to view, and, if you like it
follow the instructions of Favicon Picker 3 author ""Copy image location", and paste that in (Win only, for now)."
This is great for Web Research as you can very quickly have a URL ready for self or for emailing to others that jumps to a particular part of the web page. This is especially good for very long web pages where you don't want to waste your time later or the time of someone else, as the reader is taken taken to that part of the web page.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.1).
Thank you for the Show Anchors Firefox extension. It has been very useful for the past week or so that I have been using it. Is there any way to add anchors to some web page so that I wil have the same functions with those as with the normal anchors? Maybe you know of some other free software or extension.
I tried Surf Canyon in FF3 with Yahoo and Google search pages and they both work well. I may report back after several weeks of use with more details. At first I could not use the Surf Canyon Assistant but then I found, with the assistance of Surf Canyon developers, that my admuncher was blocking the program. We had to put it on a white list in admuncher and now the Surf Canyon works in Google.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.1.2).
Even though this page mentions that "This add-on is for older versions of Firefox" you can still use the bookmarklet at
