About this Collection
Get the best balance of Chrome's UI and FX's extensions. XUL styles, Firefox tweaks, and userscripts are also important, so I'll be releasing screenshots and details later.

Blocks annoying video ads on YouTube, Facebook ads, banners and much more.
Adblock Plus blocks all annoying ads, and supports websites by not blocking unobtrusive ads by default (configurable).
Collector's Note Combined with NoScript and exercising restraint when installing extensions, this helps to keep Firefox as responsive as Chrome. (Single-process nature and slightly higher-latency tab-switching aside) ...as well as further limiting visual clutter, minimizing the need for disabling GIF animation, and improving security on sites marked trusted in NoScript, of course. The MVPS HOSTS file is also suggested to compliment this.
The easy way to download and convert Web videos from hundreds of YouTube-like sites.
Collector's Note Lets you grab any video or audio file an applet is loading via HTTP. Turn off icon animation and combine with my "DownloadHelper - Hide Inactive, Compact Active" userstyle for unobtrusive operation.
DownThemAll! by Nils Maier, Federico Parodi, others
The first and only download manager/accelerator built inside Firefox!
Collector's Note Saves a ton of time whenever you want to download all images in an imageboard thread or all MP3s on an artist's free offerings page.
Greasemonkey by Anthony Lieuallen, Aaron Boodman, others
Collector's Note Required for the "Linkify", "Popup Window Fixer", "Autocomplete always on", "Try This Search On", "Show YouTube Star Ratings", and "The Cavern Links Checker" scripts I recommend. Install "Userscripts Updater" first and don't forget to set "The Cavern Links Checker" to "onMouseOver Mode" for performance reasons.
The best security you can get in a web browser!
Allow active content to run only from sites you trust, and protect yourself against XSS and Clickjacking attacks.
Collector's Note Use "Apply these restrictions to whitelisted sites too" in the "Embeddings" tab as an alternative to trying to get NoScript and FlashBlock to cooperate reliably.
Restyle the web with Stylish, a user styles manager. Stylish lets you easily install themes and skins for Google, Facebook, YouTube, Tumblr, and many, many other sites. You can even customize Firefox and other programs themselves.
Collector's Note An easy way to apply custom CSS to one page, one site, several sites, all sites, or the browser's chrome itself. I use this with tweaks like "Customize Toolbar window - dynamic columns", "Firefox 2+3 - Slim Extension List", "Firefox 3 - Go button always visible", "Hide "List All Tabs" button", and a few custom tweaks of my own.
The User Agent Switcher extension adds a menu and a toolbar button to switch the user agent of a browser.
Collector's Note Quick access to alternate UA strings for fooling sites which only think they need Internet Explorer or, in concert with NoScript, for making ExpertsExchange think you're GoogleBot so you can see the answers without an account.
Session Manager saves and restores the state of all or some windows - either when you want it or automatically at startup and after crashes. It can also automatically save the state of open windows individually.
Collector's Note Something to shelve your browsing sessions for later and provide backup crash recovery records in case you don't trust Firefox's built-in crash recovery enough.
The main feature of SearchPreview is to enhance your search results pages. It inserts site preview images (thumbnails), popularity ranks and sponsored links (where available) into Google™, DuckDuckGo™, Yahoo™ and Bing™ searches.
Collector's Note Add site thumbnails to Google results for when you can't remember what a site was called but you remember the general look and feel.
Switch tabs by scrolling with the mouse wheel in the tab bar.
Collector's Note Add the scroll-wheel tab switching functionality that all other major browsers either get for free from the OS widget toolkit or re-implement without the need for extensions. Best used with http://userstyles.org/styles/36095 and, on Windows, a titlebar-hiding extension.
Defragments your Firefox "Places" database (history/bookmarks)
This greatly reduces the lag while typing in the address bar and the start-up time.
This extension features configurable automatic cleaning, periodic reminder, and internationalization.
Collector's Note Automatically run VACUUM on the places database so it doesn't get too fragmented. I suggest checking "Hide statusbar icon" and setting "Automatically clean every 25 starts" and "Show the icon after 30 starts since last cleaning".
View and manage downloads from a tidy statusbar - without the download window getting in the way of your web browsing.
Thanks Tekzilla for your awesome review! Click here to see their video: http://youtu.be/BUDqWrJ-Vao
Collector's Note This is what the Chrome download shelf is a bad rip-off of. I suggest setting "Automatically clear these file types: * after 5 seconds"
Never lose anything you type into a web form again! Lazarus securely auto-saves all forms as you type, so after a crash, server timeout, or whatever, you can go back to the form, right click, "recover form", and breathe a sigh of relief.
Collector's Note Crash recovery for web forms. Ensures you'll never lose another long blog/forum post due to a browser crash.
DOM Inspector is a tool that can be used to inspect and edit the live DOM of any web document or XUL application. The DOM can be navigated using a two-paned window displaying a variety of different views on the document and all nodes within.
Collector's Note Since I use a different Firefox profile for my web development, this is primarily for when I need to write a new Stylish style or delete a website's "You need to register to read this" pseudo-dialog from the DOM so I can start reading what GoogleBot saw.
Unique "speed dial" add-on for Firefox that gives you a fast way to to open your favorite sites using keyboard shortcuts. Ctrl + Space invokes the 'Launcher' then a single letter key press opens a specific site. E.g: open Facebook by Ctrl + Space, F
Collector's Note A quick launcher somewhat reminiscent of Quicksilver, Launchy, GNOME Do, and KLauncher which can also double as a more useful alternative to Chrome's New Tab Page. I use its "One entry, multiple pages" support to launch my e-mail, feed reader, and any non-feed sites I have to check daily with "Ctrl-Space d". I'm also exploring its utility as an alternative method of triggering bookmarklets.
