Yoono en panne ? Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Doesn't work at all Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Tells you to add a service to accept the TOS.... how do you add a service? All there is available is a "finish" button that sends you to a warning box saying you have to add a service. This thing is broken and from the looks of the reviews and help pages the author doesn't respond.

Mozilla needs to allow us to rate Zero stars for extensions like these.

Doesn't work - no services shown so can't add one and can't accept terms. Apparently no longer supported. Do not install.

Just to point out... don't expect any new features. Per their blog post of 2013/03/27:
"Well, unfortunately, we are no longer able to add any new feature to any of our products, per lack of resources."
So anything it cannot do now, that you need, is unlikely to be implemented. Just a heads up.

Installed It Yesterday and My Firefox Feels No Less Than 15% More Powerful Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Now manual tweeting is as easy as opening the bookmarks sidebar. I can also read and reply to tweets in my feed in it, but to my dismay I discovered that full conversations are not supported. Very nice anyway.

Automatic updating Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I was looking for something that did automatic updating like the old twitter clients used to. This is the only one I could find. It puts a side bar and updates it every few minutes. The ad tweet only seems to show up on browser start up. It is sad that tweeter is screwing the client makers because they can't do it right.

Piece of junk. Can't move the toolbar icon from top right to where I want it and totally screws up the toolbar after removal. Would give five negative stars for that if I could.

This one does it all! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Was looking for a replacement for Twitbin. Here it is. Love it.

My one wish list item would be the ability to move it to the other side of the screen.

Il faut vraiment se complaire dans le médiocrité pour apprécier ce genre de merde. Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Easy and Convenient Rated 4 out of 5 stars

For the most part the Yoono sidebar is a convenient, easy-to- use tool. I love it when it's working correctly. The pop-up status updates are easier for me to check than actually going to the social sites themselves for updates. I do have a problem with it stopping though and I have to restart my computer to get it working again, which is a little disappointing.

wow,very good

Tried it for a while, but the cons outweighed the pros Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Like many others, I was looking for a replacement for my now defunct Firefox Twitter app, Echofon. There's many things Yoono gets right, like feeds for multiple networks, reasonably fast updates and sound notification. But it gets so many things wrong.

Firstly, you aren't allowed to choose a custom sound, you can only choose from a handful of sounds they've selected for you, many of which don't sound terribly appealing. It's a small complaint, but the lack of customization options really makes what your apps cannot do stand out.

My next problem is how Yoono can only operate if always visible. If you click the toolbar icon, Yoono shuts off and you do not get any updates. If Yoono is on, you either have a vertical stripe toolbar on the left side with not so informative icons or your feed visible. I have a huge problem with the stripe because it adds a horizontal scrollbar to every page. It would be much better if you could choose from a set of multifunction icons that you could place on your normal toolbar wherever you wished. With Echofon, it only had the one icon that would turn blue and show how many unread tweets that you could also right click to log off, change preferences, etc. It's much simpler and unobtrusive that way.

But these problems, I could learn to live with them if it wasn't for the clunky, crippling speed that Yoono operated at. It is the most ridiculously slow app I've ever had for Firefox. Even with the toolbar stripe open, it would take at least 10 seconds for your feed to show up. Not only that, but it has this annoying hidden scroll bar that would move in twitchy, jittery chunks that make it hard to follow where you are if you tried to scroll with the mouse wheel. The only way to scroll smoothly is to mouseover the lower right of the app until the scroll button appeared, then click that and then click and hold onto the scrollbar slider that appears. This is a dealbreaker.

I hope they improve this in the future enough for me to revisit, but for now, I'm better off just reading tweets on the Twitter website.

"Sadly, Echofon has stopped working a few days ago and ever since I've been looking for a new unobtrusive plugin.

Both Twitbin and Yoono have the same problem. They want to be always visible.

I just want something small, running in a corner, showing me the number of new tweets and when I decide to open it, show me these new tweets.

I'll keep looking"

My thoughts exactly. We really need an Echofon replacement /clone, it worked so well until they discontinued it (and still worked well for months).
