INCREDIBLY BAD!!!!! Rated 1 out of 5 stars

If I could give only one star, I would. Which is a shame, because this was - until recently, a truly 5* Addon.

It updated with no warning, and suddenly all my 6 Hotmail(Outlook) accounts are gone. Nothing, GONE!

Then, right-click is gone, nothing happens...

Then, the new interface is HORRIBLE, and hard to see, because the colours don't look good against the background, at least on FTDEEPDARK.

And if that's not enough, you create all your accounts again, come out of Firefox, and they are all gone again....but why did they all disappear in the first place.

This is ONE VERY FINE EXAMPLE of how to take a PERFECT addon, and render it totally, utterly useless.

And lastly, I would like to say that this is only the second ever review I have left on AMO. I felt so moved to write, that I had to look hard for my old login details....JUST SO I COULD LEAVE THIS REVIEW.....

DREADFUL, and I've gone back to the old version, which immediately remembered all my email accounts, and started working perfectly again.

Grosse déception Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Vraiment déçu par la nouvelle version, je suis revenu à l'ancienne version 3.5.23

None of the 4+ versions work for me. Rated 2 out of 5 stars

None of the 4+ versions work for me.
I am using FF Beta(with e10s enabled) and version 3.5.23 works fine except the secondary accounts open the main account(if i disable e10s it works as it should).

I tried a number of times to move to 4.0.1 and now to 4.0.2,but every time it just wont work at all.
Not even my Yahoo and Gmail accounts are working.I don't know what is up with version 4+, but it just won't work for me no matter what.

As another review said - WAS a great addon.

I will stick to 3.5.23 as long as i can and as long as it works.

Back to 3.5.23 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

If you want to stick to 3.5.23,

1. In Firefox's Add-ons Manager -> X-notifier -> More -> Set 'Automatic Update' to 'Off'

2. Install 3.5.23 from here

This version will stop working in the future according to Firefox team's plan.

Was awesome Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Key word "WAS"

They change the interface of it and now it's hard to check your emails.... Not only that but it won't save my e-mail setting so I need to re-enter my e-mail information every time I start Firefox.

Basically now It's not a very good add on for what I need it to be. A prompt for e-mails and when I click on it to go to it.

I wish they would go back to what they had.

4.0.2 update - Does Not Work Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I like X-Notifier. That's why I am letting you know that this new update does not work. It does not save my emails, passwords - nothing. In the status bar the icon disappeared as well. I have a hunch; the real culprit seems to be the overeager and totally Out Of Control Firefox staff with their ever useless updates. Firefox has never been so bad.

last update is terrible Rated 1 out of 5 stars

It removes all previous settings. It has less options and is annoying to look at in the tool bar. I went back to the older version.

Bad new X-notifier Rated 2 out of 5 stars

4.2 updating = wrong. I've returned to 3.5.23 which works but doesn't export data file although remembering last record from another place,..

4.0.2 ne fonctionne plus Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Depuis la dernière mise à jour, impossible de configurer plusieurs comptes, et ne garde même plus les données d'un seul compte apres la fermeture de firefox
Dommage car j'utilisais cette extension depuis plusieurs années

What is there to complain so suddenly? Rated 5 out of 5 stars

All the whiners should just be thankful that this great add-on was available for years for FREE! So you didn't have to pay a dime to use it with much pleasure.

Everybody who is crying now should better give a thumbs up to the developer for his efforts so far, that the add-on is not working anymore like it should is not his mistake, so why complain like the add-on is suddenly a piece of garbage? Shame on you....

I used this great add-on for many years without much issues, and all i can do is hope that the issue will be resolved, but i have my doubts.

For now i rolled back to the previous version and it's working like a charm again :)

In case the issue will not be solved i have already found an alternative, but it's not as good as this one, but it will handle multiple webmail accounts.

Multiple logins are not working in 4.0.2 Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Multiple logins are not working in 4.0.2.
Especially noticeable in Outlook (Hotmail).

Also, it is the Outlook type account that forever e-mail confirmation does not end forever.

It still works if you export/import settings Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Multiple login issue IS addressed in 4.0.2 and it works fine. If you updated from 3.x, then reinstall the old version from the version history, export the settings before updating, and then re-import them after updating to 4.0.2.

In using the extension, I didn't really use it to do anything fancy - so everything seems to work the way it did. Only difference I can see is that it takes one more click to open up all the mail accounts at once; but I used to do that by accident all the time, so I don't know if this is something that I am too unhappy about.

Kudos to the developer for taking the time and effort to port it to the new standard. Many developers in the past have abandoned development on their extensions when something like this happened, and I am just grateful that this one is going to survive another generation of firefox.

That said, I DO wish more of a warning was given so that people did not think all their mail account setting went up in smoke, but I don't know what the developer could have done.
