Good, but not greaet Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Wikipedia is a fantastic source for information, and WikiWand just makes it simply beatiful.
However, the addon puts a heavier load on FireFox, than it should - just check the about:performance tab.

WikiWand Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I like the look of WikiWand, and the ease of getting to the "search" bar. The only thing is that is slows down going to the desired article. Not by much, but in the days of WHIZ-BANG computing, it IS noticable. And very occasionally it will say there is no such article, but plain old Wikipedia can find it.

bug Rated 3 out of 5 stars

if i use firefox quick search or duckduckgo !bang, both of which redirect me to wikipedia search if i type "w query" or "!w query", respectively, then this plugin gives me problems.
because of the way the redirection is handled, i cannot go back to my previous page—pressing "back" just takes me from wikiwand to wikipedia, which redirects to wikiwand and so on...

So much better than the default Wikipedia Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Wikipedia is a fantastic resource and Wikiwand just makes I even better. Great design.

SE DÉTENDRE ET APPRENDRE, bref; À PRENDRE Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Works after restarting browser Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This extension works after the browser is restarted. If you just installed it, it won't do anything. Perhaps the devs should make a browser restart compulsory to avoid premature negative reviews.

Wikiwand itself is wonderful. Since it has a button to show the original Wikipedia article, I'll definitely be keeping this. It does have an impact on performance, but what the heck, worth it ;)

Does not work for me Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I still see the Wikipedia. I will wait a little because I can not reboot Mozilla now but if I see I will change my review.

Does Not Start Rated 1 out of 5 stars

When I install it then the wikipedia pages are enhanced; however when I open a new session the old version of wikipedia shows. I use FF45, so the redirect as explained does not work.

Hopefully no more tab overflow Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I needed the preview functionality and it works great

The best! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Had it on chrome, now on firefox, I'll never go back to plain old wikipedia without wikiwand

Good one Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Does not impact page loading time in my opinion and does what's expected. Great job.

Thanks! Nice, but has problems... Rated 1 out of 5 stars

(I am going to rate this add-on with only one star for now, but raise it to four or five, after I get a response to my observations below, just to help insure that this gets read.)

I am using Firefox 44.

Now, correct me if I am wrong....

The add-on looks great, but now the option of clicking to open any Wikipedia image in a separate tab, is gone from my context menu. I cannot even recover it with TabMixPlus or other add-ons.

Second, Wikiwand makes Wikipedia pages load more slowly, as it has to re-format the page. It might be better if it loaded all the text first, and then concentrated on the small details. At least I could begin reading immediately.

Third, Wikiwand now hides information that was formerly kept open and in view at all times, such as "references," and "external links". Not the end of the world.

Fourth, there are obnoxious arrows on either side of any given page, which provide quick links to other Wikipedia pages that I have recently opened. Whenever I hover over them, even briefly, these pop-out windows obstruct my view of the main page. Because of their proximity to the Firefox vertical scroll bar, they also make it harder to use the scroll bar.

Fifth, the caption for the main picture atop each Wikipedia page, is now missing. The picture itself is enlarged and nice, but now we no longer have a quick reference to what-in-the-world the picture depicts. This information was formerly available in the top right-hand column of any page.

Perhaps a solution to many of my observations would be simply to allow more options in the "preferences" to your add-on; such as for hiding the pop-out windows, allowing captions, keeping certain sections open at all times, allowing photos to open in new tabs, etc. The options that you provide are a bit more limited than I would have expected.

All in all, don't misunderstand; you have done a great job, and I am still grateful to have it, even with the minor shortcomings.

It's about time WP got a facelift! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Desktop experience is fantastic not only through implementing a readily accessible navigation menu, but also through thoughtful personalized settings like width of text area, bright or dark text area background, sans or serif typeface and even margin justification. Modern eye candy for Wikipedia! (It would be more than a shame to ruin it with advertising - try donations first or working with the Wikimedia Foundation for keeping Wikipedia content non-commercial!)

OK Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I'll give it 4 stars, because it really makes Wikipedia more enjoyable, but unfortunately it does make it load much slower as well, sometimes the page doesn't even load at all (takes to long). So, I disabled it.

The new look is refreshing and functional. I expected a performance hit, but any performance difference is imperceptible in my experience.

This is a must have for me now :)
