If i have the appdata folder saved from before my search bars got screwed up, where can i see all my search bars / where can i back them up from ?

Also ,is this add on going to stop working at some point in the future? Is someone currently making/has made a similar add on?

Excellent and still works in Fx 27beta and nightly29 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I fear the day this extension will no longer work with Firefox! It's loaded with option and I use majority of them all. The options are clearly described by the author and I see no point to repeat it here. Just wanted to thank Martijn once again and confirm that it still works for me. Indispensable!

Beautiful Tech!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

5 stars should be for the best of the best and Captain Caveman really has created something special here! I have been using it for a while now and customizing the daylights out of it. Also, for the earlier reviewer I know it doesn't have a synch feature- but it has a very easy import/export function. I transfer complicated setups all the time between computers and the import/export worked flawlessly.

The bottom line is this is a vast improvement. We can set up custom systems that take things to all new levels. I dropped several competing and related add-ons for this one. This one should be promoted as the kind of tech that people want! WTG!!

Great but needs a tad bit more Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I would like it very much if this add on would sync it's settings (search engines, order, display settings...) across different computers. Right now I have to remake all my settings three times or even more.

another little problem is that some sites who do provide their own search engines ,to be activated (firefox addons, youtube,...) can't be added through the search bar. I have to visit mycroft or this addons own site to search there, while normally these sites provide it themselves.

Otherwise this is an almost perfect experience!

Something strange happen, in the preferences, all my search engines are gone. Just an empty box. The engines are there in the search bar just not in the preference dialog.

From v3.04 onwards this plugin overrides the functions of Easy DragToGo+. Have to stick with 3.03 =(

I like this, especially the ability to search groups of sites all at once.

However there seems to be a bug. When i try to add a private search engine from context menu nothing happens and the search engine isn't added.

The best & most used add-on Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Still using this great add-on. Once small problem is since update to Firefox 4 the "Re-use tabs opened by WebSearch Pro" no longer works and it alwats opend new tabs. Tried turning it off - restarting - back on again but doesnt hhelp. Its not Caveman's fault its Mozillas. Update would be appreciated.

I think this extension should be integrated into FF's core. Organizing searches, seems a simple concept but it adds so much convenience to my browsing.

I've used this extension for years but I've never used drag and drop. So my one suggestion might be a WSP light. An extension that just has the search bar replacement and nothing else.

@chillicez, you sure its this extension? I'm on FF4 and I can press the enter button and it works as it should. It also worked on FF3.6 before I upgraded to 4.

WSP makes pressing enter not work in the location bar after firefox launched, both firefox 3.6 and firefox 4.

GREAT !!! but... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

...but only 2 little things I would like to be in heaven ^^
1) I love the drag and drop thing ! except for links :/ I use "easy dragtoGo+" to drag and drop links directly in new tabs, and drag text in WebSearch pro :)
there is perhaps an optioin for that in WSP but don't find it, all appologies if you already add this feathur

2) a little bug, the "use previous tab open by WSP" feathur is bugged, at least in french ... was one of my favorite option ... hope it will be fixed soon :)

thank you for your work ! and sorry for my english...:p

I have some problems with the drag & drop zone function of web search pro when using it with other drag & drop addon.
Can you add a delay configuration of drag & drop zone function?
It would be great that this solve my problem.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.0.1).

I initially developed the Drag & DropZones feature in Web Search Pro, but when it became bigger and bigger I decided to make a separate extension just for Drag & DropZones. The D&DZones extension does, among other features, allow you to delay the zones to appear. I would suggest you to give that a try, you can of course still use the WSPro search engines and groups in it! https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/drag-dropzones/

***********REVIEW UPDATED 01/April/2011**********
Thanks a million Captain Caveman for clearing that up - As I said before I have given the addon a well deserved 5 stars and am confidently adding it to my addons collecion for all to use... THANKS A MILLION FOR ALL YOUR HARDWORK.... YOU HAVE MADE OUR SEARCH LIVES MUCH WELL ORGANIZED.

**********************Previous Review**********************
I really liked using your addon till I noticed this The URLs created using WSP contain "sourceid=captaincaveman" as in the test URL https://encrypted.google.com/search?sourceid=captaincaveman&hl=en-US&hl=en&q=testIs it some kind of refferal system that you have setup for monetizing on everybody's search.Kindly Explain... I would love to give this addon a 5 Star if everything is OK.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.0.1).

Just like Mozilla (mycroft.mozdev.org) does or did I too decided to add the sourceid param to all searches. The idea behind it was that search engines, not me, could identify where searches are coming from... Since I have had more comments about this I have now decided to just drop this in the next release. (will take some time though before all engines no longer contain it cause I need to carefully remove it from all 7000+ engines...)

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

If i upgrade to the last version, when i try to search anything in a group, it opens as many result as the search engines in the group, but all on 1 single source, the last one on the list i think...
And the multiple search is the the feature i need more of this extension :(
I'm using FF 4.0 beta12
