Important:
  • Those who are using version 0.1 are strongly recommended to update to this new version. This version dramatically improves the performance.
  • To use the old database, move file vhdatabase.sqlite from the directory Firefox's profile to Firefox's profile/vocabhighlighter
  • Please read http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/profiles to know how to locate to your Firefox's profile directory.
Improvement(s):
  • The add-on now uses a separated search mechanism to find words in other OS threads, therefore, the UI experience will not to be interrupted.
  • (beta) Uses character '~' to match all derivatives of an English verb (highly recommended in phrases). For example, after adding "lend~ itself to" into the list, the add-on will find and highlight these strings: "lend itself to", "lends itself to", "lended itself to", and "lending itself to".
Fixed Issue(s):
  • New content added into a web page by javascript is not highlighted.
  • Wrong result when searching several empty spaces.
  • The tooltip unnecessarily contains ":" if the added word does not have a note.
Known Issue(s):
  • The add-on can only highlight some portions of new added content into a web page.
  • The parser of the add-on is inconsistent with that of Gecko. It incorrectly parses some elements such as conditional comments and <foo<bar>
