Nice idea, but, as you already know, it does not work with current firefox versions.
So sorry, but what is an addon for, which does not work, as it should?

Doesn't work Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I've installed this on FF14.01. The channel switching itself seems to work, but the released FF15beta2 (or beta1) is not downloaded. Pretty useless.

I follow the Beta update channel in Firefox and wasn't getting updated to today's release of 3.6.6. I switched to the Release update channel, restarted my browser and then was able to update. I'm back on the Beta update channel again but thought people should know.

@MartyBee: restart your browser, it should then be visible anyway.

I try to select the Beta channel, but it keeps reverting to Release channel

Daniel, the option is here: "Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Update"

Doesn't give any evident way of switching channels when there's an update waiting in your current one. Now I'm stuck in beta channel from my 3.0 RC testing, and I can't tell it I don't want 3.01RC1.

Very good extension, especially if you are testing out an alpha build or beta build of Mozilla software. I highly recommend it.
