About this Add-on
This is a fixed version of Byron Adams' website translation extension (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3361) which, unfortunately, is very rarely updated.
Translator is a web translation extension that allows you to translate any web page into nearly any language at the click of a button.
Translator (fixed) supports Google automatic language detection. To use it, make sure "Google Translation" is selected in the Translator preferences, and then choose "Auto-Detect to..." plus the desired target language from the Translator context- or status bar menu (see screenshots below). Now, whatever the original language of the website is, it will get translated to your desired language.
Hint: If you mostly want to translate to the same language, go to the Translator preferences, check if "Google Translation" is selected and then under "Quick Translation" choose "Auto-Detect to..." plus the desired target language. From now on, whenever you left-click on the Translator-icon in your status bar, the website will get translated to this language.
