The translate inline text feature has been re-enabled! Albeit, it now opens the translated text in a new tab (or the same tab, depending upon your settings) on http://translate.google.com/

Changed the design on the Translate panel and the Settings panel for the better! Text is easier to read and it has a cool blue gradient.
URL encoding is now handled inside the translate page function.
The addon now handles local and HTTPS pages properly. Pages starting with http:// are the only types accepted now.
Bugs left to fix: On Mac and Ubuntu the context menu displays when right-clicking the Widget in the addon bar (this appears to be a bug addressed here).
Changed the way to open the settings panel. Press shift and then click on the translate button in your addon bar.
Made various code changes to make the addon more efficient (for example, a single function is used to translate text inline or through the translate text panel).
