I don't understand. You don't need an addon for this?

You just go to View>Toolbars>Tabs On Top

Thank- U..

Have been customizing my Caliente Zorro 8b (Firefox)...
Believe me I was relieved to have to found this add-on by mistake ..

Google-it the yellow pages (for profit)... Is not an easy thing to use these days.

This add-on is a super ,,!!

Eliminating the wasteful top margin and giving more space for browser was great..

Again:
Thanks..

Well, not bad, but WHY this uses /fixed/ space before tabs?! Useless when a MenuButton smaller than standard width

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.1.1-signed).

Fixed space? When my addon loads it calculates the width of the Firefox button so it shouldn't be much more space than that.

WinXP incompatibilities Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This add-on may work well on Aero themes, but not on WinXP themes (official and modified), at least for me.

Here's what happens: http://img37.imageshack.us/img37/6546/28000947.jpg
The tab bar is literally put on top of the titlebar, not considering its background.

Instead, the background should be like this http://img835.imageshack.us/img835/6885/53757622.jpg , just like when you have FF maximized and the tab bar is on the titlebar with that glass effect by default.

(NOTE: This is the WinXP theme titlebar background/color without any effect http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/6973/84513293.jpg )

I suppose that this is not a problem on Aero because the titlebar and the tab bar have the same background, the Aero glass effect, but on WinXP this doesn't happen, the titlebar has a color (background) defined by the OS theme and the tab bar (when not in the titlebar) has a color defined by Firefox's theme.

I found the same bug to happen with a Stylish style/script that puts the bookmarks toolbar on top http://img560.imageshack.us/img560/1002/89304710.jpg , but then there's another Stylish script that enhances the last one and fixes that bug (although not adding the glass effect that Firefox adds by default to the tab bar/titlebar combination) http://img844.imageshack.us/img844/940/92489031.jpg .

Here are the Stylish styles/scripts, so you may want to look at their code (specially at the 2nd's that partially fixes the bug) for clues:
http://userstyles.org/styles/45565/firefox-4-bookmarks-toolbar-above-tabs
http://userstyles.org/styles/46274/firefox-4-bookmarks-toolbar-above-tabs-enhanced

Nonetheless, it's a good extension to save more vertical space when working with the browser's window non-maximized, and should be a default Firefox feature/option.

This should come defaulted with Firefox. It works with Firefox Aurora 8.0 Alpha. I love this hidden gem!

Works well and does a great job for saving space for pages! However it's not perfect (yet). The biggest problem is that you can't move the window by the border. The other one - the three buttons in upper right corner of the window tend to overlap navigation bar.

After leaving Google Chrome and returning to Firefox, I realized that I loved the way Chrome economized on screen real estate. This add-on gave me just what I liked about Chrome. You have to hide the menu bar first, and then your FF window looks sleek just like Chrome does--with the support community that Chrome utterly lacks.

Nice add-on, it deletes the useless top screen space that appears when the Firefox window is minimized. However, there are some two problems that the developer should fix. The first problem appears when you move the Firefox minimized window to the side of the widows desktop to set it to the side. When the screen is resized, the Firefox widow losses the three buttons on the top right corner (minimize, maximize and close buttons). However this problem occurs randomly. The second problem is that this add-on does not work well with other add-ons such as “App Button Remove 1.0” which removes the Firefox button found in Firefox 4 and 5. However, the space where the Firefox button was is still there, which is a waste of space.
This is a list of add-ons that have similar problems with the spacing of the Firefox button when the screen is minimized:
App Button Remove 1.0 - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/app-button-remove/
Iconic Firefox Menu 1.2 - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/iconic-firefox-menu/
New Firefox Button Menu 1.1 - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/new-firefox-button-menu/

It would be great if you could fix these minor problems but, overall great add-on keep up the good work.

Very good; I had to change it to work with 7.0a2 however (the max version number).

Seems to be working fine.

Works amazing. I always hated how the tabs always went under the title bar when the firefox window isn't maximized. What was the point of doing that? I knew at some point there would be an addon to fix that. Many thanks to the creator/s of this addon!

If you increase the distance between the top of the titlebar and the tabs, the shape of the color looks really disharmonious on XP.
But it looks like working as well on 7.0a2.

For the add-on to function correctly you need to right click on a toolbar and un-check "Menu Bar". This will hide the Menu bar and show the Firefox menu button. After doing this it should function correctly.

Just tried this today,(7-3-2011) and I like it. Using PaleMoon 5.0 and with the Omnibar addon, it looks very neat and clean, and gives pages a little more real estate. Thanks

Works perfectly on windows xp! Very useful for my small netbook screen: I can now use firefox instead of chrome since the toolbar is now as small as chrome's.

Works.
What does
'extensions.tabsalwaysintitlebar.values' do?

When the add-on first starts up it calculates the size of the Firefox application and caption buttons.
