There is a code to enable context menu on form elements.

Very good with space for improvement Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Very good extension! Should be implemented by default.
But I would also like to suggest the two already mentioned functions.
1. When hovering over the link the statusbar should show the URL.
2. STRG/Alt/Shift+Enter should also work.

I try to cmd-click / middle click form submit buttons all the time. It just *feels* like that should work. So it's great to find an extension that does exactly that :)

It's a very useful addon.
Just it has a problem.
In this page you can see:
"Works with: Firefox: 1.0 - 3.0.*"

But in the .rdf file it's written:
"2.0.0.*"

And it's not true and I had to correct it by myself...

Good lock

It's MUCH BETTER than the "Smart Middle Click" extension.

I've been wanting something like this for years now. Thanks!

Great when it worked (in Firefox 2). Doesn't work properly in Firefox 3. Only the middle click submit to tab works. Right-clicking on a Submit button no longer brings up the context menu.

Works in Firefox 3.0 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I bumped the maxVersion with Nightly Tester Tools, and middle-clicking a form works fine.

Like Wai, I'd like to be able to see where a form leads in the status bar. However, that's very a minor issue for me.

Please upgrade this add-on for Firefox 3 :/

This should definitely be applied to Firefox as soon as possible, as it is only natural to want buttons to have the same functionality as links.

I've hacked the max-version for this addon to test it on the latest FF3. CTRL and SHIFT+Clicking still works fine, but the context menu doesn't. Best of luck!

It's a great add-on - exactly what I needed and exactly what expected!

Unfortunately it is still not available for 3.0 and I would be very glad if I could have it. Thank you!

Good but could be better Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Works as advertised. You can control where it opens when you submit form or click on a button (open in current window, new tab or new window).

It annoys me when I can't middle click on button (the browser doesn't understand it). You may middle click on form submission button which is very handy to us.

However this tool misses one function which can normally do when it is a link:
- Hover to reveal link: When you hover the button (link), the statusbar should be able to display where we are going to send the data to. It's useful to detect when the website is doing something suspicious (and other potential uses too ;P). We can't do it for buttons/forms

PS: As a sidenote, a number of keyboard shortcuts for opening things in tabs do not work with forms. Specifically, Ctrl+Enter, Shift+Enter and Alt+Enter do not work. After all I can "middle click" and "right click" to do the same job anyway. It is good enough to me.
