Evolve to Firefox 3 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've tried to get used to GUI changes in Firefox 4. Seriously. I understand that some great improvements require an adaptation time before you wonder how you could live without them. But this time couldn't. In Firefox 4, several basic features have suffered absurd random changes and some others has just been removed: less features, less usability and cool screen-shots for the marketing guys.

Status-4-Evar restores good old status bar together with all its features: link locations in a visible and predictable place, download status... It even works with other extensions that used to rely on the status bar and now resort to the add-on bar (Firebug, HTML Validator, Dictionary Switcher...)...

This extension shouldn't be necessary but, given it is, I'm glad it exists.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2011.04.06.18).
